Sheridan is the TE coach at Washington. There's no quit in Nick Sheridan either. He makes you fire him. And a coach actually paid him money to fire him. Now he's Penix' quarterback coach. That will be interesting...

Oops, my bad.Not trying to argumentative (seriously) but Sheridan is now the TE's coach at Washington...
He might be giving some morale support to MP from time to time but he's no longer his position coach...
Sheridan did come out of last seasons debacle smelling like a rose...
No problem. I don't have any idea what's going on as far as the WA staff goes aside from his particular role...Oops, my bad.
By a lot of logic on here non of the blame either. Allen gets credit for those hires as well as blame for the last 2 but either way you have to know when the wheels are falling off the bus before you lose them and head over the cliff. This is so freaking stupid. By your logic, no head coach should ever get credit for anything.
I've read reams of corporate BS. A connection is quite a stretch. But I'm pleased to let you feel as you wish. This is the most Corporate HR response I have ever seen on a sports message board. I almost feel like you are trolling.
Honestly believe this is an astute coaching decision and you stated why, get your best players/athletes on the field. IUFB has some impressive history with tall WR's. DM will continue the string. Just hope it is prominent this season. This may end up being the best of both worlds. Bazelek throwing passes to McCulley. Get the best athletes on the field.
If he wants to play, there wasn’t a choice. He was #4 at best as a quarterback. Huge recruiting mistake.Honestly believe this is an astute coaching decision and you stated why, get your best players/athletes on the field. IUFB has some impressive history with tall WR's. It was only a mistake if he doesn't do well at WR. Missing at QB is why I don't like people pushing for going after so many Indiana high school players. Yes, it would be nice to pull in the elite Indiana players but even then some have been misses especially at QB.If he wants to play, there wasn’t a choice. He was #4 at best as a quarterback. I said the same in a more positive way about player development. If he wants to play, there wasn’t a choice. He was #4 at best as a quarterback. Huge recruiting mistake.
It was a recruiting mistake because they don’t have a quarterback for that class, and they try to get one every year. It also took us out of the running for some other kids, though we didn’t have much of a shot at our top target. Sheridan and Allen both have responsibility on this one.It was only a mistake if he doesn't do well at WR. You are missing out that it was based on ratings of QB which many analyst missed on so quit putting all the blame on IU coaches. You are not a good poster on this site are you a PU troll? It was a recruiting mistake because they don’t have a quarterback for that class, and they try to get one every year. IU’s evaluation of DM was based on analyst’s ratings? Do you really believe that? I can assure you that’s not remotely accurate. If you know any coaches or understand how they evaluate talent, you’d know how far off base you are. Been a huge fan of IU since before I earned my degree there. The troll remarks are uncalled for.You are missing out that it was based on ratings of QB which many analyst missed on so quit putting all the blame on IU coaches. Troll "remark" was a question not a statement. It is based on you not answering where you get your info from. You are ignoring the effort of fans like you saying IU doesn't pull in enough Indiana players.IU’s evaluation of DM was based on analyst’s ratings? Do you really believe that? His running ability looked athletic hence the move to WR.McCulley did not look particularly athletic at QB. I do think that was probably because he was thrown to the wolves and was forced to think too much, so I am interested to see what he looks like at WR.
I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say here. The issue is that missing on a quarterback means we will end up without one in each class, which is how they try to balance them out. Taking DM also meant we took ourselves out of the running for some other good QBs. It had nothing to do with whether DM was from Indiana.Troll "remark" was a question not a statement. I didn't say that coaches don't evaluate recruits but the optics of not recruit a player so highly rated from Indiana. You put words on posters messages to fit your narrative.
Just can't agree with your last sentence.I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say here. And MSU, Iowa and his own Coach Brohm were lined up to make the same "recruiting mistake".You are missing out that it was based on ratings of QB which many analyst missed on so quit putting all the blame on IU coaches. You are not a good poster on this site are you a PU troll?
Don't worry about me answering you since you can't read very well or see "?" and understand words. Good ByeI don’t really understand what you’re trying to say here. Agree - the play calling was terrible.McCulley did not look particularly athletic at QB. I do think that was probably because he was thrown to the wolves and was forced to think too much, so I am interested to see what he looks like at WR.
That’s fine. What you said wasn’t an accurate depiction of how our coaches evaluate and recruit players, which is why I questioned it.Don't worry about me answering you since you can't read very well or see "?" and understand words. Good Bye
You actually missed one…MP is trying to come back from season ending injuries in ‘18, ‘19, ‘20, and ‘21 (2 upper body and two lower). Was he the highest ranking recruit that Indiana had or just the highest rated quarterback? Granted he was thrown in the deep end of the pool without adequate preparation in the Ohio State game and then the rest of the season was forgettable on both sides of the ball.
CTA thought he was going to be a great quarterback. Now he's thinking he's going to be a great wide receiver. I certainly hope he can find a position on the field but something just doesn't pass the smell test here.
I'm still a big fan of Michael Penix. He exhibited signs of greatness before getting hurt, came back and got hurt again and then did it a third time. And now Washington has jumped on him. There is no quit in Michael Penix.
