With all of the hyper-activity over the alcohol possession issue on the bb team, I will pause and say, aside from Allen, I can think of only one football player in the Wilson era who has been nailed publicly for any kind of offense, major or minor. Perhaps my memory fails me, and no doubt some transgressions never made it to the public arena (as would be the case in any program), but it seems to me that when you have 105 kids on a football team, 85 of them on scholarship, one or two offenses over a five year period is a pretty damn good record.
Maybe we should congratulate the coaches (though I certainly don't blame Crean or for that matter Knight for the bb player transgressions (coaches can only do so much), so let me just commend the players themselves. (And I'll bet Wilson's players will have a strong graduation rate as well.)
