I have already bought over 35k worth of tickets this year. So yes when something effects my money I care.
No one cares how many scratchers you steal from the Gas and Gulp you work the night shift at, kiddo.

So, you write a post, then read it, and then you're angry?
Quit writing posts .
Problem solved .. Mr successful.
You're a joke ..

So the best case scenario for you is to bring in a mid major coach, miss the tournament two years, buy a bunch of tickets in year three, then have a break out season. Why would someone spend $35k on a coach they don’t believe in?Being a ticket broker is the same as a Wall Street trader. In a sense, yes, gambling for sure.
I don't think my opinion of the program is worth more than any other alum or season ticket holder. It weighs the same as anyone gambling 35k a year on IU by your example.
The ticket office never changes their price. #1 or #352 in the nation tickets will cost the same. However, I have to buy tickets off people that get season tickets, so the price they charge fluctuates from year to year depending on projections. When we lost to Syracuse people knew we were going to be good that year so they would want triple for the season tickets then they want this year. Buyers market this year.
I have never lost money in the 10 years I have been doing it, and get 1099 from stub hub so I literally can say it is a source of income.
So you are the reason I went from my yearly row 10 section 2 seats from normal donations and personal use and attendance to row 39. I quit buying the mini season package and instead of attending many games, I go to select games or use tickets friends can't use that are usually around row 25 (a member and officer in the I Association).
You suck, but I suppose making money makes the criticism roll of your back.
Anderson is what he is and i dont think that will change. Im guessing franklin will get lots more minutes than anderson.Anderson over Henry. Ugh.

MrBing is right...you are pretty emotional. I hope you don't wear out your fainting couch this season.Scratchers! Holy hell I am a kiddo compared to you, the Gas and Gulp!!! Insult me more, take me back to the 70s this is fun and I am getting laughs out of it.

IU basketball directly effects my money. I have already bought over 35k worth of tickets this year. So yes when something effects my money I care.
Successful people are passionate about things. Maybe you could try being passionate in your work, might bring you some success.
Aamaan Franklin's line looks very encouraging...some of you I'm sure have a better assessment of him coming out of high school and his ability to contribute this year...I had no such insight...I never saw him play in high school. If he's transitioning well...and this line is encouraging...that can go a long way to help us this year.
No, crying about some mythical $35K on a message board is emotional.I guess laughing is an emotion! Got me wifebeater!

I would rather see you eat those tickets than buy what I earned from years of donations and actually attending the games. There are enough tickets available from people I know that can't attend a game.Ha, actually that would be my buddy @indianasportstickets. He cornered the market on the mini series tickets behind the goal. You can always purchase single games from him tho! I only have 16 or so behind the basket. So I didn't push you totally out .
Looks like we should go ahead and cancel the season. That really sucks because I have $35k worth of tickets.
I know having 35k sounds like a fairytale to you so does my job. I am making it all up and live in a trailer like you, got me!!!

I attend most home games and travel to a few away games every year. I saw a way to make some extra money 10 years ago in something I enjoyed a lot. Has been great ever since.
The Real bonus for me is I can Essentially go to the games for free and be able to sit in great seats.
For example I’ll be on the floor in the chair back seats for the scrimmage and first game of the year. Behind IUs bench @maryland, and whatever the best donor seats available are at MSG for UConn. Might go to more away games if we start winning.
Gonna fly to road games in your solid gold helicopter?
Delta has a round trip from Indy direct for 300 bucks. I will have that much wagered on Monday night football. Most IU alums should be able to afford such things, sorry if you can’t.
Could be that Archie is seeing Franklin is better at PG than he thought or that Durham is a better option at the 2 or 3rd guard spot than PG.Saw him play a bunch. Was asked to play different roles in the 3 years I saw him. He's a very underrated ball handler and played a good amount of PG yesterday. PG minutes may be limited this year, but don't be surprised to see him running point before his time is up. Very gifted athlete with good size.
Maybe he is Batman and will take the Bat Plane.Gonna fly to road games in your solid gold helicopter?
I usually take the helo from my house to the airport and then take my jet. Sometimes I fly them myself to give my pilots a break.I usually go by private jet, but Delta is good, too.

My guess is we start the year Durham the first guard off the bench at either spot and Franklin backing up the 2. It might change

I misunderstood your position on Archie. I’m in the same boat. He has to make the tournament this year. It sounds like you have figured out the ticket system. Best of luck to you this year.First of all I like Archie and really want him to succeed. I think last year he gets a mulligan because of a lot of different things. However, even if I like a coach winning is all that matters. If he doesn't make the tournament this year I will want a new coach. Cant have 2 underachieving season (some could argue 3 but I think year one was fine) in a row starting off. Recruiting will tank and you lose the fanbase.
No, best case scenario is for us to be good and ranked year in and year out. People will always give up their tickets for a large lump sum before the season, and you still can double your money. I would rather pay 5 grand for season tickets and sell them for 10, then by them for 2 and sell them for 4. My goal is always to double what I pay. Sometimes I do a bit better or bit worse. IU fans pay insane amounts for tickets when we are relevant.

I buy and resell tickets as a side source of income. I should have been more clear. How IU does directly correlates to the amount of money I make or lose.
When determining the prices I buy and sell for said tickets I have to evaluate and project how good IU will be and how much people will be willing to pay.
For example last year I sold most all my tickets before Xmas and I did very well, if I would have waited till closer to the events it would have cost me probably 10k. Projecting how good we will be is a matter of thousands of dollars in one direction or the other.
This year I am going to wait on a lot because the market is as soft now as it has ever been in the history of IU. I project we will win some games and the market will rise quite a bit.
Roid RageNo I don't think that's it at all. You just seem pissed all the time about IU. You're very emotional for a grown man. I'm guessing you're a grown man.
Guessing oil and gas business isn’t paying the bills?I buy and resell tickets as a side source of income. I should have been more clear. How IU does directly correlates to the amount of money I make or lose.

I made a shitton of money in school selling student tickets to alumni. Easy to do back then. Collected fee receipts from women and stoners that did not want to go and bought 40 season tickets. Alumni coming from Nick's paid nicely and I kept a sweet pair for myself each game.
Young entrepreneur you were. The great seats for free part is very gratifying. And if you can make some money and get free tickets? Can’t beat it.
Except IU lost. In a real game (otherwise everything else the same) they would've done much worse since Franklin had 7 fouls in the scrimmage. You can try to parse the box score to glean information but even that is suspect with the exception of FT shooting - which IU struggled at.IU wins scrimmage over #17 Marquette without the starting backcourt at the beginning of the season.
$200 a game for shitty games, $400 for good games and a grand for big games. The other guys doing this were from the Jewish fraternity. We cut a deal my second year when I was sick of it anyway and I sold them a bulk package for enough to drink for a semester. God bless capitalism.
