Lunardi Has IU In...

I guess it’s possible if teams that were ahead of you lost and it was a bad loss. IU hasn’t had a bad loss.

From 45 to 43 in net after yesterdays game. Next game will be big. I don’t see us rising with another L.

Are we playing Michigan? A possible play in game like against OSU 3 years ago?

I’m guessing if we win one in the BTT and a bunch of last place teams in other conferences don’t win their conference tourneys for automatic bids, we probably are in. I’m guessing the 10-12 seed range.

Not sure why but outside of the year with Cody and company, IU has sucked in the BTT. Hope for the players they can experience the NCAA tourney for at least one game.

how many times over the years have we heard this narrative... how many times have we gotten that one win in the BTT??? Thought so.

Maybe we won't win one. Maybe we do miss the tourney. But it's hardly established at this point. Nearly every bracket has us marginally in or marginally out. It's not as if we've never won a BTT game and the performance of other teams has just as much impact. The bubble is pretty weak.

I stated after the Rutgers game that IU has likely seen their last win of the season. I expect a 8-10 point loss on Thursday and then an uninspired performance in front of a sparse Assembly Hall crowd in the NIT.

Again, I would love to be wrong. But this team cannot close, and it isn’t likely to all of the sudden develop that ability.

If you are right and one win gets us in then this season would show us that one win will elude this team.
Virtually the whole season has been close but no cigar.
Hopefully that trend stops but I wouldn't be my house on it.

You are an idiot to compare Archie or Crean to this team. There is a noticeable difference in effort. Archie’s team quit. X would have died on the court yesterday.

I’ll bet your house for you :).

You probably just read too many posts on here. The bubble is soft and our record isn't that bad. The 8-9 game is basically a win and in game for us, probably.
IU's record this year in regards to critical games is not good.
Northwestern, OSU, Rutgers and PU to name a few.
Damn guys, you were in position in all those games, close one out!!

They play better defense. They may be dumber than any Crean team though. A lot of similarities either way.

Elston shot a half court shot with 10 seconds left. Not 3.
-Race phantom dunk foul on Edey
-Parker tech
-Parker fouls Sasha for 3
-Durr for 3!
-X late TO 1
-X late TO 2
-X from half court with 3 seconds left

Off the top of my head, I’m sure I could come up with a few more.

This is without question the dumbest IU team I remember. First IU memories were mid 80s.

You are insane. We had hanner and devin Davis on the same team at one point.

I believe Lunardi has one of the lowest percentages of accurately predicting the bracket of any of the national "prognosticators".
Ok, so who should we be watching then? Maybe post their predictions.

For the record I think this is “like Sesame Street.” This season has been a disgrace given the opportunities squandered. Malpractice.

Candidly, I don't pay attention to any of them because none of their "opinions" even matter or have any influence on the committee. None of them are on the committee. I just know that for me personally, I think Lunardi is a complete douchebag and I couldn't name another bracketologist.

Bubble teams' records rarely are good in critical games. You can go look at every bubble team and cherry pick close losses and say woulda, shoulda, coulda.

They did close out Purdue at home, Minnesota on the road, and a few other close games. But, they just aren't consistently good at finding a plan B when teams take TJD away.

RMK didn't like the BTT. But you think he didn't care to win, give that we had to play? I'm not sure I can see him doing that.
Not sure he put as much effort in, not saying he was trying to lose. The first year he may have been flipping the Big 10 the bird a bit but he never seemed greatly interested. Hard telling
