Louisville Mayor Got Punched

WTF is going on in Lullvull?

Downtown is dying because of Covid and crime.

The Mayor is now hated by both sides because he tries to make both sides happy.

And people think you should commit violence against anyone who disagrees with you.

Anarchy is fun, until you are the victim.

How many candidates are running against the current mayor?

How many candidates are running against the current mayor?
He's out - term limit.

But they already shot at the Democrat candidate.
The GOP guy is a long-time mayor of a suburb city And was also on the shooter’s list.

How do you get to control the peace talks?
At the point of a gun!

Normally I'd say that deserves at least one year in jail......but the mayor is white and big on diversity, equity, and inclusion. so he probably thinks the black guy gets one free punch.

I have enjoyed spending time in Louisville in the past. Sad to read your thoughts about the downtown.

By the way, there is another group of people other than victims who used to think anarchy was fun but have since been required to reconsider how much fun they had:

It was easy to see why they let him WALK.
So, Lucy, now you're making jokes about a physical attack on a Democrat mayor?

Will you deny this is what you did? Try to deflect the discussion again? Blame someone else again? Tell me to sort through your 13,000+ posts to prove it?

You're not a parody or caricature. You're a realistic, unashamed example of current Republican principles. Ozzie, Harriet, and the entire Brady family would not recognize what the Republicans now think is normal.

You're in favor of political prosecutions and non-prosecutions.......we get it.

Report this week said lease capacity of downtown offices was down to 75%.

All 3 of my go-to downtown breakfast/lunch places closed after the riots. My favorite overall meal in town was in a restaurant that was in a building that had to be torn down. Freaking White Castle stayed open, but the Persian joint had to go! Daughter’s friend’s family owned it. Good news is they also own the best Chinese joint in town, and it was not downtown and stayed open. (Made enough to pay for her wedding.)

My old firm got millions in renewal/rehab credits to re-up the lease when it was still in the low 90’s. The last thing I did there was move boxes from my temporary-during-construction-office to new post-construction office. The next day, the Governor shut Kentucky down. I retired and never worked a day in the new one.

More of your lies!

Language matters.

It it were a joke, Lucy's post would be a parody, satire, or caricature, not to be taken seriously/literally.

But you say it is an "observation." If it is an observation as you say, then you and Lucy agree it is a literal expression of support for a physical attack on a Democrat mayor.

That hardly makes Republicans look virtuous.

Did you see the picture of the attacker?

Yes. From the NY Post, this is the alleged attacker:

Does he look Irish to you, Lucy? Of course not.

When you wrote, "It was easy to see why they let him WALK" (Post No. 12 above) you were making a direct reference to the apparent race of the man in the photo based solely on his appearance. You were claiming the authorities let him leave based solely on his race or skin color.

There is a word for that. You are a typical Republican, making remarks like that while trying to deny your bias and blame someone else.

Come on, mods, do your duty with him.

Why does he hate Pride?

I don't know how you get that from her post.

I think she was suggesting that no one tackled the attacker because he was AA and the mayor is white. No one wants to be shown on you tube being physical with a young black mail. Including the mayor's fricking bodyguards. So, I believe it's the exact opposite of what you are suggesting.

There's nothing wrong with this post. The Mayors security probably didn't want any more riots. But the hatred of me by another poster is trying to make something that's not there.

Unfortunately you’re probably right. If that man gets what he deserves after punching the mayor Louisville is in flames again. Pathetic

If that man gets what he deserves after punching the mayor, nothing whatsoever happens
One thing.....I saw another angle on the attack, and the mayor took a hell of a shot. I don't know what he was thinking. He was looking right at the guy and made no effort to avoid the punch.

As for your point.......you're right, but that's not the issue. There's paralysis by analysis all over the country due to everyone having call phone taping capabilities. Also, no one with any sense trusts a modern urban jury if things do go south. There was a video of a deranged guy bringing in a plastic tube and taking a 'bath' on a NYC subway. No one said a word and everybody was buried in their phone like nothing crazy was happening. Everyone is logically afraid to do the right thing. No answer to the issue but it is becoming a problem.

Living right across the river from Looserville I can tell you that he was probably allowed to walk due to skin color, like it or not. The racial tension in that city is high and the Mayor sad to say has a lot to do with it. He shouldn't be hit and the individual who hit him should be brought to justice. However the way it was handled is a product of many months even years of turning a blind eye to the racial tension in the city.

I want to be a fan of Louisville but it is hard, my family and I never go there unless for medical visits. Sad state of affairs over there and Fischer is a big reason.
