A fair observation. Of course players matter, but there are clearly things setup within a program outside of just the players that can make or break the success of a program. That’s not to say McCollum isn’t a good coach. I’d have been happy with him as well. I was on board with him before DeVries, mainly because he was on the Hot Board so looked us his accomplishments first.McCollum was left with nothing when DeVries left, I think he inherited one player. I would’ve been happy with either at Iowa, but McCollum’s success this year is his own. How well it translates to the B1G, we’ll have to find out
