Looks like last year

Gonzaga has been to 9 consecutive SW 16.
Sure and Few lost in the first or second round 6 of his first 8 years. Plus it helps a bit that they don’t play in a real conference and come into the tournament healthier and more rested than team that have to fight every game to get a high seed.

They haven't lost in 1sr round since 2008. And rhats wirh being an 11 seed twice..8 seed twice and a 7 seed.

Play a very strong OOC schedule. They'd be just as successful in any P5 conference.

Do some research. Instead of just babbling.

It also helps that they don’t have a fan base filled with a bunch of know-it-better arm chair coaches questioning every substitution.

Yeah, 6 of his first 8 years. Saying the same thing. And sure a very strong OOC schedule makes up for 25 automatic wins each year for pretty much any decent power 5 team.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Illinois has also played EIU & SIUE. They beat EIU by 112-67 to our 90-55 (+10 for them), and SIUE by 90-58 v. us at 80-61 (+13 for them). Not encouraging.
By this logic...any team that beat Michigan football by more then 5 points, is better than IU football. See how stupid you are?

Ron Hunter is not a bad mid major coach. Didn't his son get drafted 1st round. Just saying he knows how to develop kids.
I have never met the man but I have always had the impression that CRH was a very good college bball coach. He enjoyed success at IUPUI and Georgia State. His teams were very entertaining. Might be struggling a bit at Tulane which I find is a place difficult to build success.

IU guards? I like Galloway(backup), in fact he is rated the second best PG at 2.26 in the conference behind PU Smith at 3.06. Rice on the other hand is rated the 14th best PG in the BT at 0.54 and that's with playing a soft schedule! You don't even want to know where Carlye and Cupps are rated! Galloway was bye far the best rated guard IU had coming into this year, and the stats says he is still the best. The playing needs to catch up to the HYPE some day!
From which site are you pulling that data? I would like to check their metrics from time to time.

PS. We played a P4 team today but I’ll bet Rice and Carlye both jumped a bit after todays game.
