of the recruiting analysis is a big step forward. While we do not have 4 & 5 stars, this class is solid with some quality players. I have all the confidence in the world that we can get the guys coached in a way that not only are we competitive in all games, close if not there now, we will win our share. I do not want to be greedy, just on Sports Center routinely and have Corso and his crew back in Bloomington to see us win. Think many of us older fans would be there celebrating!! lol

I want to be football greedy. We have accepted crumbs far too long. Go Hoosiers.

Rivals has us 6th in the B1G based on....

total points which is related to the class size. Using the average number of stars, we are 2.81 with Maryland 10th at 2.83 and Mich 13th with 3.25. This was a pretty good year with only Tommy Stevens defecting. Love seeing the pukes rated 14th.

Lots of athletes. Tall, fast athletes....

now they need to coach 'em up and find them positions.

I'm particularly excited about Nick Westbrook, Isaac James and Camion Patrick.

I'm pretty pleased but

as of 1:00 today, our class would still rank LAST in the SEC according to Rivals. Rankings and "stars" don't mean everything, I realize that. Just trying to keep perspective.

That may be true...but we don't play in the SEC

I agree that perspective is important. For a school like IU, just getting consistently good classes that create position depth/competition is a big deal. We are in the midst of a multi-year transition that hopefully leads us to the upper half of the conference and regular bowl appearances. It will be a long slog, so you have to stop and smell the roses from time to time.

We beat the SEC East champs at their stadium

I don't fear the SEC teams we'd likely be matched up against in a bowl game at this point.

As long as we are able to defeat the SEC division winner

with what we have I'm pretty much ok with it.

Re: There's always at least one

Once again who cares about the SEC. Hell half the big 10 teams would a finished in the bottom of the sec in recruiting, don't care what UK/vandy and the others do. Has absolutely zero effect on iu
