Live Game Thread - Indiana vs Michigan

we don't choke away the 2 Wisky games, the OSU road game, and the absent-5 game in NW, and we probably are. That's how close we were this year....season not over yet.
IU is like one offensive guard/wing away this year from being really good. I know, duh, throw Calbert Cheaney or Eric Gordon on the roster and you get a lot better. But, it is the truth.

It cracks me up to see who was all over this early and how they disappeared. Says a lot about their real feelings.

Don't even need such talent.

More realistic: Throw Yogi Ferrell or Michael Lewis on this team and they'd be a lot better. Jamal Meeks would make them better, too.

not sure about Meeks..was never much on offense. Now add Yogi to this squad, and yeah....Sr year Yogi was a stud. Carried that team and bought CTC one more season.

There are many lesser-respected players from the past that would immediately start on this team and help a lot: guys like Juwan Morgan, Steve Bouchie, Marshall Strickland, Kyle Hornsby, Ivan Renko, etc.

Renko's stats in particular are, well, almost impossible to believe. 😬

I meant like an offensive stud at the 2 or 3 that can get buckets. Meeks and Lewis were point guards that didn't score a ton. Yogi was an offensive stud point guard: I'd take that, but X is good enough.

Yeah, it’s been a frustrating season. Inability to close games, and the team having a Jekyll and Hyde personality. Sick of hearing it’s a talent issue. It’s not (unless brain and heart = talent).

edit: We may not be as talented as Gonzaga, but we have enough to be a solid top 25 team.
What did that old coach say?

Mental is to physical as 4 is to 1.

With TJD and Race as our bigs...sounds like those guys really understood the moment and were ready to play.

Wake me up when our program has some stones again.
Good riddance. Hope you never watch another game.

OK..... right when the game ended, we immediately had to leave to have lunch with some friends we hadn't seen for years. So I couldn't make a comment right then.

I was that one that said.... "Pick up your Jocks, or Panties and head back to Bloomington"!!!!

Well.... this is my OFFICIAL APOLOGY to the team and the other commenters on here.

Please serve up my triple helping of CROW..... because I deserve it.

Friend, there are a lot of conflicting emotions when watching this team. They get down big and seem to have no life. I was first mad, then despondent. Then they cut into the lead and I was leary."Are they going to give me hope to then dash it?" So I was not excited when they fought their way back. Even when they won I was not super thrilled. It was not a convincing win. Yet I am glad they are still playing. Let's get a W against the Illini and secure a spot in the NCAA.

It's not possible to read this thread without laughing at the whining and crying during a game that IU ultimately won. Seriously, I've been laughing out loud. It's hilarious stuff.

To be fair, all of us were bummed out during the first 25 minutes. That said, it is the same group of people here that are either miserable or not really fans as they are constantly ripping on anything IU.

you are not Feepaw, Fat Buffalo, 777, Vid, Hatchet, Gradman or others that never have anything positive to say.

Bummed and whining like irrational children are two different things. I didn't give up as it was clear IU was playing very hard. Things finally started going their way during the second half and it was on. They weren't going out easy.
