Live Game Thread - Indiana vs Michigan

My wife just came up to me and asked "are you OK?"

She never does that.

we absolutely suck ass on the boards today....offensive rebounds falling into UM hands....
Making MI look like the greatest rebounding team in the history of sports. Coach needs to lay into this team. Maybe the early start has them still asleep 💤 .

oh well, maybe this is the one game where Jekyll shows up after halftime, is is it Hyde?

Coach will go back to same weak ass starters that most here want back next year...SMDH

Michigan simply has the more talented roster and better offensive players. This is just a flawed team.
My blood pressure is coming down a bit. I think its me coming back down to this realization. Michigan is just better than we are. AND they're a bad matchup to boot.

They're going to have an IU-like letdown to even let us back into this game, let alone blow it completely. I haven't followed them closely enough to know if theyve done that this year or not? Even if they do, we might not notice it, because we probably don't have the skills or stones to take advantage of it.

This team has no margin for error, and this is why the games are close at best. Our best player isn't consistent outside of 2 feet, and X is the closest thing to somebody that can get their own shot. I was hoping to see Woody do something more with less. This program needs consistent offense talent, especially from the 1-3 spots, stat.

This team hasn’t been able to shoot the ball for 4 years . As I said before we need to recruit basketball players , instead of athletes who look good but can’t shoot the ball . To beat IU , you pack it in the lane , and let us brick it up from outside .

You can beat Indiana that way. Many teams have this year. Michigan is a different animal, however. They don't have to "pack it in". They can easily play our strengths straight up. Which basically makes it impossible for the rest of our team to do much of anything.

The result is what we've seen. I'm not convinced we weren't "ready to play" against them last time now. They're just that much better, and that bad of a matchup.

That is what it boils down to. Some people have this notion that there is all this hidden untapped talent on this team that the coaches are just not bringing out, that this is a team that should be in the tournament. It isn't there. It's just that simple. Being able to summon the mental readiness to play is a talent as much as athleticism or hitting shots.

Second foul on X was perhaps the worst call I have seen all year and changed the game. Was there any comment on the broadcast?

They double TJD perfectly. They know he will turn to his left and shoot and double him in great position at just the right time.

Hunter Dickenson always excited to play against Trayce.

Trayce is really an overrated player.
Speaking of Dickinson, what is the actual rule on arm bars?

I thought it automatically was supposed to be a foul if a defensive player put both his hands on an offensive post player's back. This was sometimes called the Michael Durr Rule earlier in the season.

But what is the actual rule?

B1G refs let him get away with that game after game. Will hurt him in the tourney when he's being watched by an ACC ref crew.
