Looks like we have normal starting lineup😒! Why PS starts is beyond me!!! Any word on if TG is available? Im at the game, no team is warming up yet!
Woody loves upperclassmen. He's said as much. That said, I don't get it either.
I agree, but Woody loves him some Stewart and Kopp. I'll go to my grave thinking both guys have salacious pictures of MW with a goat or something. 🐐
Side note: During crunch time, I was calling for Rob to be on the floor against Purdue. I know he's not a world-beater, but at least RP has hit big shots in his IU career.
Rob is an enigma. He for sure has had some clutch moments in his career. He's also had some pretty horrible finishes to games as well. I think we're all so starved in recent years for success, that the Butler shot, and the Purdue shot, have changed the reality of what Rob is...which is a very capable, but inconsistent player for us.
When you back it up a level though, and start looking for things that we need on THIS team...Rob is one of the few guys that's capable of creating decent shots for himself, and making them, under pressure. And we probably need more of that coming down the stretch. Because when teams take away the kickout passes, guys like Stewart and Kopp are useless.
Specifically today...Diabate and Dickinson are capable of stopping TJD and Race on their own. So late in this game, its likely that Kopp and Stewart will be basically wasted space on the court. I'd go with Bates and Rob if I were Woody, if the game is close, and they aren't doubling our bigs.
PS is killing us on defense and TJd is killing us on offense!

Is anything more indicative of this team this year than Galloway stealing the inbounds pass and then getting it Rob, who blows the layup and then Michigan goes down on the break and scores?

I disagree. They all look like they are out there because they have to be. None of them look like they want to be out there. And how the hell does JG shoot 51% and not play 20 minutes per game? Kopp can’t play offense (unless he catches the ball while wide open and already set to shoot) or defense and gets more time than JG.
Fitting end to anther disappointing season. Six straight seasons without making the NCAA tournament. Unreal. The entire university should be embarrassed.
Woodson will trot out Kopp and Stewart again to start 2nd half guaranteed
