are affirmed in the inevitable court challenges.

What stops a chief executive from stacking a government agency, say Homeland Security with operators whose primary mission was to destroy anyone daring to oppose that executive?

Short of 'violence', any act of lawfare, intimidation, false arrest, anything you might think of, for years, could just go away with the stroke of the pen.

Is this what we want?

Think carefully.

Since the President himself is above the law, I would suspect any of those who carry out his above the law orders would be too. But then IANAL, of course.

The President is immune from things within the scope of his duties. These people could commit heinous acts for 4 years and then get away free.

Biden’s are a bastardization of the intent. So too are many of the J6 obviously. The idea is recognition of the acceptance of responsibility for the crime committed and established good conduct post conviction.

Biden preemptively pardoning his brother etc is bc they are dirty. Doubtless. Trump and j6 is political loyalty.

Both nothing to do with proper intent. If you carry out mas’s post it’s an avenue for abuse with a get out of jail free card

Biden and trump are bad news. Harris was a liar and no good either

How do you think these pardons are going to be challenged? Is someone going to charge Liz or Fauci anyway, and then have the courts weigh in on whether or not the pardons are valid?
What I am hearing regarding Mark Milley, is that he will be recalled to active duty, court martialed with two counts of Treason for his unauthorized collusion with the Chinese Communist government
during Trump's first term.

When convicted, he may be hanged.

It would be prime time Saturday night if it were my call.

It isn't.

You are such a piece of crap. Milley has done more for his country that you could ever dream.

Fascinating story.
No search warrants for internet hacking inquiries. Concealment of the conviction of two federal agents for misdeeds during the investigation from Ulbright's defense counsel. Government tracking(of the supposedly secure) bitcoin trail. Seizure of over 50,000 bitcoin from a hacker who had stolen the BC from SilkRoad, ALL confiscated by the government.
Ahhhh Government....

Who has standing to challenge the pardons?

You liked an active duty military officer pledging to notify foreign military of his Commander in Chief's activities?

You probably love Julius and Ethel Rosenberg ..

Got a soft spot for Benedict Arnold and Kim Philby?

SMH.

I don't know enough about this case to have much of an opinion but sounds like this guy was involved in drug trafficking heroin?

Didn't you guys in another thread suggest we invade a sovereign nation and kill hundreds, if not thousands of people, because they are heroin trafficking?
Fentanyl. Totally different.

I don’t even know what this thread is about.

"Death penalty for drug dealers!"

Unless I need your vote. Then pardons!

Apparently there are a number of subjects you don't know much about.
The product was fentanyl.

Not sure that Ulbright 'trafficked' drugs. As I read the accounts, his creation facilitated illegal activities through the implementation of disguised VPNs and digital currencies.

Maybe like Burlington Northern Railroad unknowingly transportation fentanyl, or Mitch McConnell's wifes' ships hauling contraband...not sure.

You really are a dimwitted 🤡
You are the biggest idiot on this board. The village idiot if you will.

Next 4 years are going to be great watching your president break promise after promise. The fact you dolts think he cares about you is rich. He'd likely be too disgusted to even enter your house.

It’s a trailer, not a house!

I don't know.
My sense is that these blanket pardons, granted to characters neither charged nor convicted, simply cannot be allowed to stand. This is little more than nullification of the rule of law. It can lead only to anarchy and tyranny.

Amazing we’re discussing the relative merits of 2 criminal presidents while we celebrate and mourn the death of POTUS #39, who was a very honorable man despite his political flaws
