Let the Hall sit empty. That will send the message

Couldn't miss the irony between your comment and your signature Spurgeon quote. Evidently "tough love" doesn't work all the time. ;)
The kindness of God is the fact He would allow His Son to be punished for the sins of the world. But there are times in the lives of believers where God will let them experience tough love by having to live with the consequences of their sin on the Earth. One thing I often say is that we can be saved from the Penalty of Sin though faith in Christ ie eternal Hell but while living on the Earth we have to desire to be saved from the Power of Sin ie impulses, sexual desires, etc.

Just not going is not good enough. They would need to lose huge money from ticket sales to make an impact.
The tickets are already sold and that won't change. The secondary market has no affect on IU ticket revenue other than that gleaned from the partnership with SeatGeek.

We've got a bunch of recruiting specialists on the coaching staff and not enough expertise in the game of college basketball - especially on the offensive side. If Woody doesn't change his in the off season, he won't be here much longer.

Yep, that's a good message: "when times get a little tough, quit!" Show up and cheer your team. Not like they've lost 13 in a row.

They expect the players to show heart, toughness and pride while having none themselves. Comical ..

We lead the B1G in attendance. Had big home crowds for KU and PU. Provided a crowd advantage in NYC vs UConn. Managed a 50/50 crowd in Auburnā€™s back yard in ATL. All for a team playing bad and not close to ranked, and a program that has stunk for 25 years. Our fans are amazing.

Why would he change he has been doing the same thing for 40 years and he is old. Old people don't change.

Arrogant and ignorant people wonā€™t change. Change is a part of life however not all change is positive. Every change must be evaluated on the merits.

But it was just stated here that we've stopped recruiting also. So what are any of them doing?

Attendance has been amazingly high given the dog crap we are looking at. IU fans are different.
IU fans keep showing up even if theyā€™re mad as hell at the coach and team. Look at Auburn game. Looked line there were as many IU fans as Auburn fans. The U Con games had thousands of IU fans in attendance.

No matter how bad it gets and how much bitching I do, Iā€™ll write my $12,000 check to the Varsity Club and another $4,000 and more for season tickets. I love IU and I am a sucker. I keep convincing myself it will get better.

Iā€™m with you, manā€¦. I write the same yearly check and I was sitting behind the IU basket at State Farm watching the embarrassment

Well, you and others will have the chance to not renew your season tickets next year, because Woodson will be your Coach next year.

It was a rhetorical question, really. I think the notion that the coaches have "stopped recruiting" is preposterous. I'll need more than an alleged rumor on some other board before I'll believe it.

$16k is about where we are.

IU outnumbered Aub fans despite being told here that it would be a home game for Auburnding.

Thereā€™s just no excuse for IUMBB program being where itā€™s at. Rabid Fans, NIL Money and Fabulous History.

Total mismanagement that makes me angry at times and sad other times.

Woodson is going to finish this year and next at a minimum. You, me and probably all the other donors are going to give our money and buy our tickets next year. We will be excited when the year starts next November and most likely by next January the shit show will be worse than this year.

Then it all starts again.

This year isn't done, next year hasn't started. No sense in pulling your hair out and worrying about a dark and dismal future that may never happen. It's a waste of thought and time.

Not sure what elicited this response by you to me but I've made it perfectly clear that I'm in for the long haul and my seats won't be going empty - I and friends will be in them.

Itā€™s been a long time. When I am not stressed out anxious about my own life, I worry about clients. I should have adopted this quote from Seneca 40 years ago when I started my practice. Thanks for reminding me to go back and read this again.

True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not.

See IU's maui attendance (More than UK & KU), Arizona in Vegas. It is very amazing especially with all the older IU fans passing on.

Hummel should absolutely be ecstatic that IU is this bad but even in this interview he sounds very disappointed. Even Purdue legends are embarrassed for us now. There is no way Woody gets another year of Dolson has any balls at all
Woodson will be your coach next year. Prepare your mental health for it.

Depends how bad it gets..

Woodson said he's "dealing with new stuff this year" and said "this team is different than the team we've had the last two years." Woodson said it isn't an excuse. "Listen, nobody wants to win more than Mike Woodson. The fans, I know they want to win, but nobody wants to win more than me. That's the reason why I took the job and I'm going to keep pushing these guys until we get where we need to be

What BS. Someone lend him a mirror.
