Nonsensical title but another off-season morsel for reflection.

Learning becomes exponential as players become familiar. Last year the only people on day one who knew the system was the staff. This year all returning players and managers have one year experience which they can pass on and help teach the newcomers. Next year it's be two years, etc, etc. That's how programs are built and why having as little turn over as possible and having upperclassman is important to continuing success.

Yeah yeah. Was referring to the term "straightening" that by itself is indicative of absolutely nothing as opposed to say flattening, easing, moderating, etc.
