Lamar Wilkerson

Is Tyrone Riley still and option? Quincy Ballad Witchita St. would be a good big to get. Also like Kennard Davis from Sou. Ill. swa him play... pretty good.

Lamar Wilkerson....

Sherron Wilkerson, former Hoosier, just won the Indiana state championship as a high school coach.

Where did Wilkerson get his start as a coach? Lamar. Under Pat Knight.

Sounds like a good fit if you read the tea leaves.

I believe that was Wilkinson.

While Coach DeVries may be swinging and missing on some guys he wants, you know he's watched and is continuing to watch an incredible amount of film, with an expert's eye. Not just the highlights of every shot going in. And making calls to evaluate, to recruit. I'm sure the selection of good players is a lot wider for coach, with his approach, than just the top names the pundits put out there.

Sure, 'all coaches' are doing that. But the guys he worked for at Creighton indicated his effort won't ever let us down. And he's very experienced and smart.

Sure, fingers crossed, but optimistic.

Wilkerson's shot reminds me of Blackmon's. Hopefully his defense is better. All of the blue bloods were after this guy... That said, he is testing the NBA waters.

According to BTB, Trilly is calling it too.

Damn this is going to be fun to watch...

It would take serious dedication to play worse defense than Blackmon. You’d basically have to just lay down on the court.

This roster is looking pretty good. This is why everyone hit the bricks imho. Mbacko was the only one who kind of fit. The rest just don’t. Way different look coming. Bombs away!!!
You sound like the king of crazy land. MM wasn't remotely interested in making more than about 4 cuts per game. If the action wasn't for him, he was late and soft handed. Zero body control.

Bailey is 6’10” and shot 41% from 3? Damn. Even if that’s only 2-3 attempts/game, still, damn. Although I do remember Archie bringing in some guy (can’t recall the name) from somewhere in Illinois who was 6’10”-6’11” and was supposed to be a good 3pt shooter. Don’t recall him doing shit after he got here.

Can anyone read? I said kind of…sheesh chill out.
You have to remember to stick to the group think narrative that he's trash and lazy..

He played out of position as a corner guy in Woodson's offense and had to guard quicker players often. Neither fit him well. Put him at four on a team oriented defensive scheme that doesn't gamble - hence less rotations less mistakes - and relies on team connectivity and positioning instead of individual defensive focus and who knows ..

Woodson, like Crean, fielded teams based on induvial defensive ability, it was made for athletes. You can build defense through team concepts. Like Wisconsin did...

But, I don't think his issue is laziness or lack of skills like many believe. His reaction time on almost any play is slow. Like he's either overthinking, being way too careful, severe lack of confidence or just basketball dumb. Even simple plays .. it seems he has a hesitation. All but the last - being dumb - can be fixed.

Doesn't matter .. he gone.
