Lamar Wilkerson Commits to IU

Damn this is going to be fun to watch...

Last year's & Career 3-point averages

Lamar Wilkerson: 44.5% (Career: 40%)
Tucker DeVries: 47.3% (Career: 36.7%)
Reed Bailey: 41.5% (Career: 30.8%)
Luke Goode: 39.2% (Career: 39%)
Trent Sisley: 44%
IU should play like that D3 team that shoots 100+3s/game! No D needed to play, just jack 3’s up every time down the court! Whoever hits the most, wins! 🤔

Enright shot 44% on three attempts a game his sophomore season with CDD at Drake.

They took my guy to a horse race that wasn’t the Kentucky derby and he was like ya….. get me the F outta here.

COME ON! Now this is a huge get. We got 2 snipers. Dare I say, we are gonna be able to shoot next year for the first time in a decade.

Don't say it... The last thing we need is another jinxed career before he ever steps foot on the court....

Question for the crowd: Would you pay to attend a game of H-O-R-S-E among these guys?

1 thing that stands out, unlike Goode and Kopp. He's not just a catch and shoot. Shoots and scores off the bounce, attacks the rim on hard close outs, has some mid game.
Yep. I did like Goode more than Koop tho. Like you said. Those three on the floor together would be quite the change of pace from what we’ve seen. Really hope Goode comes back. Would be a tremendous 6th man.

Me too. Goode could shoot off the cut, Kopp needed to stand still.

So it was a complete housecleaning. Probably only kept Sisley because he hasn’t actually played here yet.
yep, but I'm not sure why Goode isn't wanted, Indiana kid Indiana family, I think Devries made a mistake on him or maybe he thinks there is no way he will get a waiver. didn't Luke come back at the end of the season in question? that usually doesn't bode well.

Devries flew out to see him this morning, that's the type of work ethic it's going to take, Indiana made me a priority, didn't want to be just another guy at UK. if you look at the rosters of both teams, he will almost have a guaranteed major role at iu, uk who knows they have a lot of talent. this was one DeVries needed to win, and he did.
Evan Myia computer analytics has LW rated 1102 player in 2024-25?

You think the NCAA wants another fight? I think they already let other sports second half type come back. Different times.

1 thing? I've watched him only a couple times, but there is nothing about his game that reminds me of anything Goode or Kopp did.

I really like that he can score off the bounce in the mid-range. A very underrated skill these days.

Welcome to Bloomington Lamar Wilkerson. Kid should be a gamer and at least be fun to watch with Tucker even if games aren't going our way. This has me back on track with DeVries. Losing out on Conwell, Dix, and Bidunga (especially after hiring Adams) had me questioning what wasn't landing with recruits and worrying how common it would be. There's up to 10 roster spots to fill, need some athletes and guys with eligibility.

JUCO kid would be helpful. Seems like an Auburn type player though.
I think he could give some minutes. Obviously, his length is incredible. Looks like he has good hands and moves well. He is young and needs development. He is only 210 lbs and lack of strength shows even at the JUCO level video. But the length and hands look impressive.
Would be nice if we could get him and add some weight and strength before the season.
