Kevin Wilson has a shout out on X

What I liked about him was his not taking crap from the media on 'you're just Indiana, heh heh' .
But then of course heard stuff about not being... the most personable... but you never know how much is true. And the issues that got him fired.
I liked his teams and thought he had us moving in the right direction. (And that pinstripe kick was good!) Glad to see he still has Hoosier connections and not a grudge. Cool about seeing his players graduate. Great tweet.

Along with his offensive acumen, he did a very good job of changing the attitude amongst his IU players. In return for their loyalty to him, he’s tweeted about those who did stay, lauded those guys upon their graduations long after he was gone from IU and the guys he coached here who went onto the NFL. The guys who played offense for him at OU and NU also seem very loyal to him.

Just wish he would have found some semblance of balance when it came to the defensive side of the ball. And gotten his off the field demons in check.

Our offensive coaches don't need help for offense just more experience with the best teams.

Referenced POTFB week and the 4th straight Bucket win 8 years ago; he also said:

"Finish the Journey - Beat Purdue!

Personally, I always liked the guy...
Kevin was a really good guy.
I got to know him a little. We went to church together. Would chat with him at the BCC.

I will tell you this. Everytime he talked to my sons (I had four boys)...they would become so jacked-up that they'd run through a wall. He just knew how to speak to young men.

I don't know that I really believe a lot of the stuff I've read about the man. It doesn't relate to the guy I knew. It's not like we were super close. Close enough that when he would see me at a function or out and about he'd cross the room before I could to connect and talk.

He was always cordial when I ran across him and I never experienced any of the negatives that have been expounded on here...

I wish him the best.
