Kansas is...

Yes, but TJD didn’t choose IU for the money. There’s a big difference.
Oh my, what a caricature we have created haven’t we? Because Kansas played the same shoe company game that UK, Duke, UNC and all the big boys played, every recruit they get is a paid mercenary.

Ridiculous. So stupid.

They don't play best of 10 in March. Get X back healthy by January and let's play one in March in Omaha. I wasn't impressed by anyone other than Dickenson and McCullar (21 pts, 13 from the line).
I’ll take Kansas in that rematch. If it happens hit me up and I’ll be happy to take some of your money

Yup. I commented on him in another post. He needs more body weight and conditioning. Would like to see him pack on 25 pounds and get stronger. Edey is going to destroy him. Would be better if we put Malik on Edey.
i hope his length will give Edey problems.

My point was that TJD was an Indiana kid and that’s why he came. Of course, TJD originally came before NIL.

Do those Indiana kids make your heart feel warm?

Mine would feel warmer if we actually won shit once in a while.

Wrong, this team will be more dangerous in March. Kansas sucks and was lucky to escape, this game goes OT we'd have won. Add to that we played like shit and were close to blowing their doors off
How was dinner w you NC State friends talking about the old times? Hope the mash taters were creamy enough for you to enjoy.

Kansas sucks and the Hoosier's???????

Kansas does not suck. They are a legit F4 team and we played with them without our starting PG. Remove Harris from KU and add X, and I believe we win. This proves we can play with anyone. Just need to get X, shoot the 3 a little better, and tighten the defensive rotations, and we can be a really good team.

You sound silly and bitter saying Kansas sucks.
OK, "sucks" is an overstatement, but what I meant to convey is that an eye test of Kansas makes clear that they are NOT a strong favorite among the handful of teams that are expected to hover near the top of the rankings this year.

They can be rattled and if you didn't see the look in Dickenson's eyes after he tossed up the airball, his expression was an ... "oh, shit, we are in big trouble look" and not his typical arrogant, metro, most punch able in the B10 look.

Poor decision making, poor shot selection, and bonehead ball handling at several key moments prevented us from a making a few key easy baskets that would have blown this gave wide open. So, yes, those few things didn't happen and we blew our shot, but if those things would have happened, this game could have been a full blown beat down of KU.

Cupps needs to be thrown to fire and as soon as Galloway can be coming off the bench to spell MM or X and X becomes the combo guard he is with speed and slashing, we can be very difficult to defend.

Fair enough

Well, maybe you're a secret Kansas fan. I am not, but as someone who has seen pretty much all their good teams since Danny Manning was there, this team wouldn't even crack the top ten of their own best teams since then.

I don’t think he’s secret. It’s right in his name. But that’s ad hominem.

But see....Kansas doesn't do those things with the same propensity as we do. That's why they're so much better. It's less about talent and more about performance.

Of the 3 decent non-con teams we've played, I'd rank them: 1) UCONN, 2) Auburn, 3) Kansas in terms of how they looked when we played them. UCONN to me, seemed to have all the pieces. Auburn looked like world beaters and I thought played extremely well. Also saw they just beat USC too. KU has a lot of pieces but I don't think played particularly well against us.

UCONN is, for my money, the best team in the country. I'd take KU over Auburn over the long haul. Less athletic and flashy but better coach and less likely to do stupid shit.

Naysayer or Sunshine pumper, everyone see the team differently. We need to see the team at full strength. Our bench needs to play better ,right now we are get getting no offense from them. The game Tuesday we will see if the improvement continues.

Unless Woodson rests the starters we should beat Moorehead State by 30. I don't really know what that game will tell us.

at some point, i'd run some sets to get MM, TG, Banks, Cupps, Gunn some 3 point shots.

Banks had a bad game. Gunn did nothing other than miss the front end of a one and one. I thought Ware played solid.

Banks and Gunn combined for:

- Minutes: 21
- Points: 0
- FG: 0-3
- Three pointers: 0-1
- Free Throws: 0-1
- Assists: 1
- Turnovers 1
- Rebounds: 2
Wow. Need a lot more for us to be good

Talent and experience won today. It's that simple.

IU led 56-46 with 11:06 to play.

Kansas outscored IU 30-15 the rest of the way and not once, EVER, looked like they were concerned about their ability and probability of winning. Not a great game by Ware. In the box, he doesn't have the strength. He needs Malik's strength to better in the post. Better game by IU, but the better team won today. Credit self for having confidence in his players to continue to play with fouls. If he pulls McCullar and does not allow him to stay on floor with 3 and four fouls, they probably lose. That decision, Kansas superior talent and experience is the difference today. Solid effort by IU. Just wasn't enough. And tip of hat to Trey. Great to see him have a big game.
To me, Ware was looking to be up there with TJD like talent. Not as good but pretty close.
But after that game its obvious hes no where near TJD.
TJD would never have performed that badly. one of TJDs most notocably worst game from what I csn recall was probably against Edey whose arguably the best cb player in the country...but TJD was still impactful.
Ware wasnt at all, he looked extremely disinterested

I said offensively he struggled. He hit the boards for sure
He got the boards bc Kansas was getting back. He played like dawg shit, totally uninterested. Which is mind boggling when the rest of the team was as absolute hyped as they were, almost like he was stoned out of his mind or something.
