JQ Roberts vs X Booker

Booker rail thin. Didn’t force anything. JQ didn’t make any mistakes. Made a few nice passes. He’s not aggressive enough yet. Has pretty good handles. North was down big in the first half. Roared back. Almost won. North has a couple of solid guards.
Those north guards took over. They sped Cathedral up with a press. North’s coach almost pulled it off. Side note. The reed and Kante kid both had dads on the 97 championship team. All but 3 north players are back next year.
Comar was controlling the game. He wasn’t scoring but seemed to get the ball in the right spot almost every time.
Booker looks to be a player. Needs a weight room but the ability is there
Roberts didn’t force anything. Made nearly all his free throws. Has nice form. Booker got held in check by a much smaller player. Roberts made a couple of nice passes too.

There was a few nice players on Cathedral.
He had some bad turnovers in the second half. Press bothered him.

Awesome. I didn’t have a dog in the fight. High school basketball at the Hatchet House is usually a good time.
I miss the single class format when you would’ve struggled to get a ticket on a day like today.
Yeah my best friend played on the last one. 1997. Sad indiana changed. If it was still single class that place would’ve been full.
Roberts plays within the system and is solid in every single aspect of the game
Interesting. My kid will graduate from South and played bball 1st 2 yrs and Mgr final 2 yrs. Tore his ACL. Anyway, knows most of the North kids via travel ball and summer strength training.
He really was good. Complete game. He needs a little more aggressiveness. I suspect that will come. Not flashy. Pretty unassuming. Doesn’t force anything.
Yup. I coached the the Reed kid in baseball. Hence, he is a basketball player.

I really like the athleticism and shooting ability of Jaxon Edwards. He is going to Murray State which used to be Popeye Jones' school but more recently is known for Ja Morant.
The Hatchet House is great to watch a game, but it is not so great when you have to run stair laps during gym class. Coach Stan Neal was our PE Teacher and running those laps was a favorite of his.
No, it was an activity Stan had us do. I didn't do it because I was in trouble.
I played at the Hatchet House.. it wasn't fun. Omer was a helluva coach!
95 Boonville. Washington won the conference title that year. Vinncennes and Princeton were loaded
