Jesus Christ Kanaan.

What the heck is wrong with him? Maybe one too many three game “injuries”.
Obviously I don’t know…but it looks like he’s probably pressing because he isn’t performing how he’s used to performing.

He’s good enough, and could be impactful enough, that if I’m Woody, I run a couple sets for him and basically demand that he attacks the paint.

I agree with trying to run a couple sets and help him get his confidence back.

Either grow the **** up or get the **** out. Grow a pair and stop being scared!!!!!
8:23 minutes on the stat sheet … probably Cupps’ minutes …
last player off the bench … didn’t play (much) in the 2nd half …
Goode’s and Galloway’s play relegating Kaanan to the bench.

He did play briefly in 2nd half. A couple missed jumpers that led to PSU transition opportunities.

Two terrible shot decisions. looked awful today
I don’t think they’re awful shots in a vacuum. But when the context if his struggles, and the score and situation are factored in, they were awful shots. Kinda feel bad for Kanaan. Hard place to be where he’s at right now.

I wished I had your ability to take sh!t and let it roll off your back.

I am getting better. The last time I slammed @T.M.P. I deleted it and liked his next post.

Today I bit my tongue and played nice. Maybe GOD has changed my heart.
Part of my joke was when does TMP ever build anyone up? He's the kind of guy who yells at his kid for striking out during little league baseball games. And if he doesn't yell he just glares in disappointment.

Do you think he was way overrated or has he just lost his confidence or Woody system terrible for him?
I think he was probably a bit over rated but has lost all confidence. This is what makes or breaks a player IMO. We will see where he is at in march. Woodys system is fine for him he can’t hit the broad side of a barn and it’s in his head now.

Yeah he is doing that thing. He is trying to point the ball into the hoop rather than shooting the ball. Not a good look. I hope he gets his confidence back. Leal getting his minutes isn't substainable.

He's in his own head .. or someone else is. Over thinking, pressing .. whatever.

Ballo corrected his lazy habits. Goode got over the Dec slump. Shooting more and for 2 games at least, better. We just won a road game.

Hopefully the improvements continue and Kanaan or someone else unf*cks his brain. He was horrible today. Leal currently is the far better option.

not arguing that whatsoever. I hate it tho. And we are never gonna be better than the bubble if he plays 15-20 mins a game.
I don't think we're better than bubble even if he doesn't. At least not yet. But there's been some surprising improvement in play and in coaching strategy. So ...

Leal's brought some needed consistency lately .. you can always have one energy or role guy on the floor... just not 4 at a time.

Sometimes we don't need brilliance on the floor but instead just need a simple lack of stupidity. Leal isn't often brilliant but usually isn't stupid (like dribbling the ball off his own foot at midcourt).

I'd rather be on the bubble with Leal than be omitted altogether from the play-in games without him.

Ballo, Goode and Rice also played with great energy today. At times, so did Mgbako. Seeing more than their usual effort and energy from all those guys was encouraging.

His free throw shooting I think has made me judge him too harsh. That SOB can’t hit 2 Fts to save his life. Speaking of Fts. Mack and rice??? 86% and 93% respectively, and 75 taken combine. My god. That is a nice change. Paid dividends today for sure.

How about that pass to half court behind Galloway’s head?

I like Rice more every game. Fun to watch guys like Baldwin not be the best guard playing.

Galloway and Leal aren't the most talented, but they're playing like 5th year seniors, playing smart. Haven't seen thatf rom IU players in years. Kinda nice, to be sure.
