No no and no. Covering my ears.Hearing possiblity of knee problems.
Is this from his senior season or something new during summer workouts?
Anybody have any info?
He had a really bad knee injury junior year of HS, that kept him out all the way through most of his senior year. And he's still not fully recovered.Hearing possiblity of knee problems.

Glen Grunwald is a skeptic of this message. He had a really bad knee injury junior year of HS, that kept him out all the way through most of his senior year. And he's still not fully recovered.
The really, really bad ones can take a LONG time to come back from. I hope he can get back to 100%, I just have a feeling about him...that he's going to end up being a great player for us.
Almost makes me shudder reading that name.Glen Grunwald is a skeptic of this message.
In today's world, not sure Redshirts really mean much.Redshirt him we still have a spot to add a quality guard.
Or to the younger folks, Maurice Creek!Almost makes me shudder reading that name.

that was the injury from HS, or this is new since he's been on campus?microfracture to his knee. He said he doesn't want to redshirt but ultimately will depend on the staff's decision.
GG made me nuts the way he played BEFORE he got hurt. Then he was even worse afterwards. Creek was a different story for me. He showed he was a helluva player before having horrible injuries. Made me sick when he crumpled.Or to the younger folks, Maurice Creek!
In the interview it sounded like an extension of his HS injury but that it was either reaggravated or unresolved. While they can be annoying, listen to the Hoosier Hysterics podcast. If you want to hear about it skip to 31:07 and listen Jakai explains it himself. That will also jump you past the shenanigans.that was the injury from HS, or this is new since he's been on campus?
Sounds like he had shitty medical people involved. Hope he fully recovers.Again, I repeat, he had the injury in high school. He sat out to heal the injury in high school. He came back at the end of his high school season and re-aggravated the same microfracture injury to his knee in one of his final high school games. He is now rehabbing this same injury while on IUs campus.
Maybe that is why they had a guard in this week.Microfracture knee issue. Re aggravated when he came back for the end of his senior year. Be thankful he’s getting the best care now that he’s at IU.
I never had the idea he was going to play much this year either way based on who’s ahead of him. But, you can always use guards so who knows. He should make a full recovery but it may take some time.
That's kinda big news, isn't it? Care to drop a name?Maybe that is why they had a guard in this week.
ODU, Maine & Air Force.......yikesI heard 2 hand that Jordan Rayford, a DMV kid in the portal from Air Force Academy was spotted at dinner with the coaches.
He's not a grad transfer, wonder how this one works out?ODU, Maine & Air Force.......yikes
Well they would be smart to bring in someoone who canas I have said as a one year player. Looking like our main backups at guard are Gunn and Cupps. Thats it.Maybe that is why they had a guard in this week.
Yeah, not much of an offer list. Shoulder surgery last year, so he hasn't played in a college game yet.ODU, Maine & Air Force.......yikes
I just saw that does not seem that impressive. There has to still be some other guys available.Yeah, not much of an offer list. Shoulder surgery last year, so he hasn't played in a college game yet.
Hate to hear these stories about high school athletes getting linked up with bad doctors before they get to campus.Sounds like he had shitty medical people involved. Hope he fully recovers.
We all do in the real world. Well a lot of us anyway.Sounds like he had shitty medical people involved. Hope he fully recovers.
Billy Donovan was at that dinner also.I heard 2 hand that Jordan Rayford, a DMV kid in the portal from Air Force Academy was spotted at dinner with the coaches.
Yeah, that extra inch would be huge for IU. 6'5, no thank you. 6'6, hell yeah!!!He's not a grad transfer, wonder how this one works out?
If it is true, and does happen, I would guess he's an under the radar kid, and Woody knows that. I can't fathom him reaching on someone with all the irons he has in the 2024 fire, and with Cupps, Gunn, Newton, Banks, etc... already in the mix.
His highlights make him look decent. But...he went to Air Force, and the competition on the highlights didn't look great. But maybe he's 6-6, 220 now, instead of the 6-5, 195 he was entering college?
somewhere out there, the ghost of OG Fpaugh just smiled a little....Billy Donovan was at that dinner also.
Yep. In shoes if Barkley was 6'7" instead of 6'6" he woulda been something as well! vbg.Yeah, that extra inch would be huge for IU. 6'5, no thank you. 6'6, hell yeah!!!
You ever try to guard someone that's an inch taller, AND 25lbs heavier than you?Yeah, that extra inch would be huge for IU. 6'5, no thank you. 6'6, hell yeah!!!
You could have just gone with the 25lb heavier part. That is a meaningful difference. You ever try to guard someone that's an inch taller, AND 25lbs heavier than you?
Sounds like he had shitty medical people involved. Hope he fully recovers.
Ehhh...growing an inch AND gaining weight is a much better representation of someone maturing physically. Just gaining 25lbs could be construed as him getting fat from his injury. You could have just gone with the 25lb heavier part. That is a meaningful difference.
Yeah, that inch of growth makes one fully understand that the 25lbs definitely wasn't him getting fat from injury. SMHEhhh...growing an inch AND gaining weight is a much better representation of someone maturing physically. Just gaining 25lbs could be construed as him getting fat from his injury.
I'm good with what I used...and again, its a hypothetical aimed at providing a possible explanation on why Woody is talking with someone like him. He might have lost weight for all we know?
Further...an inch of height, when combined with added weight, is a significant difference in basketball.
Intersting nit to pick. Hope you have better things to worry about today. And if you're actually slapping your head...I feel sorry for you.Yeah, that inch of growth makes one fully understand that the 25lbs definitely wasn't him getting fat from injury. SMH
The overall point was not well thought out. And that's not what SMH means.Intersting nit to pick. Hope you have better things to worry about today. And if you're actually slapping your head...I feel sorry for you.
The overall point, I thought, was pretty obvious. Maybe he's bigger and stronger than he was in his HS highlights?
Maybe he meant the little head! The overall point was not well thought out. And that's not what SMH means.
Cool. And you're right, shaking your head is less worrisome, apologies. The overall point was not well thought out. And that's not what SMH means.
