Hopefully when you say pros you mean Europe. He doesn't project to the NBA as a 3,4 or 5. He is a good college player, he would probably do well at Miami but it depends on who is around him.

I'm interested who else is leaving, MM and Tucker I would suspect? Any idea where they will land? I would like to have Goode, Rice and Reneau back but if you are correct the last one is off the table.

There's no way to know that right now. Even if you have legit sources that are saying the current players are planning on leaving. They'll all give the new guy at least a conversation or two, I'm sure.

I have a pretty clear understanding of agents, family persuasion, NIL initiative contacts, NIL independent contacts...

Indiana is still very powerful, and presents as high a potential return for all these invested parties, as anyone would. The new IU coach will get a chance to consider and re recruit all the players, I'm sure.

we will see, I agree the new coach may very well try to re-recruit some players, I also think a few of them have already made decisions. imo the more that stay the better, I actually think we have some great potential already here, they take a lot of shit for their performance, but we actually have a pretty good group of student athletes

I'm sure some have made decisions already. But even those players will meet with the new coach when the time comes. And you never know what happens at that point.

There's lots of players that score 1,000 points and you definitely have to have good talent to do that. But Reneau doesn't = wins. But you raise a good point - one that perpetually bad teams always have: Is it the players? The coaches? The systems? Etc. But a Reneau that is held to account for his defense, not moving the ball, throwing up shots so bad you couldn't even articulate them before you saw them? Maybe.

People attribute greatness to Reneau simply because he’s an above-average down-low player. Can he score and does he have good footwork? Yes. Can he play defense? No. Is he a rim defender? No. Is he a good passer? No. Can he put the ball on the floor and get to the rim? Oh please, don’t ask this one.

Ballo leads the team in scoring, rebounding and blocks, per game. So, just by definition Reneau is not great. If one conducts a true assessment of MR, they will conclude that overall he’s an average player at best. It’s like calling Mackenzie Mgbako a great player because he can shoot, sometimes.

To be great, a player has to be above average in several categories, and they have to make their team better every time they step on the floor. We don’t have any great players, even with a better coach. Every one of them are severely limited in one or more areas. Could they get better with a better coach, sure and the team would most definitely improve, but individually none have a high ceiling. Put it this way, are there any NBA players on this team? If TJD struggled getting in, what’s that say for this group?

Reneau would be in high demand on the open market, all kinds of top 20 teams don't have NBA type players. Reneau is a very good college player.
