Check this out: per reading on UT sites, it only took Pruitt 1.125 major NCAA violations to achieve each of his wins (18 alleged, 16 victories). Now THAT is efficiency (or is it effectiveness?)!

We weren’t afforded self-reporting “credit” because we knowingly hired a cheater, even though we were strongly encouraged by the NCAA to not do so. And we waited months to take action against Sampson after we discovered (the second time) that he was still cheating. We didn’t deserve credit for anything but being wantonly stupid.
Big credit goes to Adam Herbert who insisted on a minority hire after Davis. Sampson is a good coach though. Herbert was a dunce. Just another in a long line of IU leadership who could manage to eff up just about any hire.
Due process was the reason for the Sampscum "delays" you love to trash IU about. This has been explained to you under several of your user names. Anyone who has managed within a large organization is quite familiar.

It had absolutely nothing to do with due process. That was never the case. The second discovery was made in October and we didn’t take action for nearly three months. It was no different than the erroneous belief that Glass didn’t act on Kevin Wilson. It had nothing to do with due process, then, either, but some people make that excuse.
