Building a team (from scratch) in this environment when money talks has got to be an extreme challenge. It may reasonably take Devries a fair bit of time to build a team even in the age of NIL and revenue sharing. This offseason might not be the grand slam lots of fans were hoping for.
It's generally a shitty situation to be in. Like I said here when the Miller era didn't get off to a great start, that's not really an acceptable situation. The fans, students, alumni and donors have plenty of reason to be upset.
Hoping it gets better is all those fans and supporters can do. But that doesn't change the reality that the situation can't really be defended.
