I like the fact we try to drown out OSU cheers, but why don't we have our own?

How hard would it be to do an I-U cheer? After our team takes the field, the eastside (students) yell "I" and then the westside responds "U" and go back and forth for a while. Simple enough that even our fans could probably pick it up.

Heck we could even do it a couple more times during the game.

Who organizes these sorts of things? students? Cheerleaders? Glass?

First sign of the OH-IO chant and I'm going to try to rally my fellow students into a "Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers" chant and i expect the rest of y'all to fall in line! lol

We have several- Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!, Go Big Red, I(west side) U(east side), etc. We (fans) just don't do them when the cheerleaders try to get them going.

As dumb as it sounds, Ohio St actually has the perfect thing for this. The OH-IO is a nice thing because it's two sounds to prompt the response. It would sound dumb if we just went around yelling I. With the O-H-I-O, it's something that just caught on over time with the 4 corners of the stadium. I mean Iowa has the exact same thing with their I-O-W-A. I'm not sure how we would ever create something like that. The Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers is to hard for a large group. You would be better off with something like Let's - Go - I - U or Let's Go - IU or something with Defend - The - Rock - Hoosiers. That's about all the creativity I have.

Disagree. Ever been to a South Carolina game? Half the crowd screaming GAME with the other half (humorously) screaming COCKS gets awfully loud.

Never been to a South Carolina game, but do people just walk down the street and yell Game just randomly on the street? That's what I'm getting at. Ohio St people will yell the OH and get a response. I don't have the answer, but I bet kicking someone's butt on the field will help get the stands rocking with some cheer.
