Woodson at an 81 for X’s and O’s? Oof. I’d put him only above Davis. I think Crean was a better recruiter in the 3/4 star range than we give him credit for. Beyond just Oladipo.
Millers sleaze factor was a -23. Which is almost unendearing.

Davis isn't even the best recruiter on the list.
The way he mangled the recruitments of Conley and Oden disqualify him on that premise alone.
Crean was the best player developer on the list outside of, possibly, Sampson. I don't think we had enough time to really understand that due to his shorteneded tenure, but Troy Williams playing in the NBA for as long as he did is something.
I would have liked to have seen Crean work witih TJD, for example.
I'd say that Mike Davis is rated way too high on the first 3. Turning the program over to him was the touchpoint for all that ails IU now. That 2002 team went to the Finals in spite of him and IU held onto him way too long when the wheels started to fall off. To say he was merely in over his head is an insult to anyone who has ever drowned.
In hindsight, IU should have followed a similar path UNC followed after Dean Smith. They realized Guthridge and Doherty were duds, even though they were UNC guys, and promptly showed them the door. The pulled out all the stops and got Roy Williams from freaking Kansas. I'm not sure who IU's "Roy Williams" would be, but they should absolutely swing for the fences and only get someone who is a proven winner at the highest level possible.
Davis was arguably the worst B1G basketball coach in the last three decades. I say that without an ounce of hyperbole. His coaching resume is ridiculous. It's literally in reverse of how it should be. He got a pass because of that run to the national title game, but at each stop every school realized what a shit coach he was and he dropped a level.
He's currently an assistant under Penny Hardaway at Memphis. I'd say that's arguably his first 'step up' job since he was hired as an assistant at Indiana and subsequently given the head coaching job.
honestly, IU should put feelers out for guys like Mark Few and Bill Self. It'd be hard to pry them away (especially Self), but why the eff not? The worst thing that could happen is they promise those guys gobs of money and they say no.
