It has happened

We played all four teams from the 2024 & 2025 Championship games, our only two losses were to the 2025 participants. What a garbage schedule that was lolol
But we went 0-2 this year. If we beat both or won, maybe we could gloat but we lost to both. This thinking makes zero sense. Kentucky has probably lost to both national championship game participants before. It’s not a badge of honor. In the 4th quarter we weren’t in either game.

Very little shame in our only losses coming to the eventual end of the year #1 and #2 in the nation...

With two "good" losses like that I guess that makes us hypothetical SEC Champs (based on their supporters bizarre thought processes)...

Maybe this means we actually did "belong" in the CFP after all... I'm wondering if Herby and friends will ever admit it...???

We were 2-2 because we beat Michigan and Washington. I'm not sure if you missed that part of my argument or just chose to ignore it. Either way, I would be surprised if any team (including your weirdly included Kentucky) has ever played all four teams from the previous year's and the current year's natty. (If someone can show me where it already happened I'll stand corrected.) My thesis is that it hasn't happened before so in that sense it is a badge of honor, Danielson.
This was not meant to be a dunk on Ohio State or Notre Dame but a polemic aimed at those who claimed Indiana did not belong in the CFB Playoff, implying that 3-loss SEC Teams did instead. They said our schedule strength was weak even though it was about the same as Notre Dame's, who lost to a MAC team. The point was almost 1/3 of our schedule was against teams from the last two national championships games. And we split it. Surely you can concede that this is a heckuva retort to alleged schedule cupcake-age?
The point was that as the CFB Bracket played out the idea that Indiana didn't belong in the 12 team field was increasingly discredited.
Elsewhere I have stated that CFB is top heavy so the notion that there was a gap between the first six teams and the second six isn't exactly a revelation. I've also ridiculed this absurd trope that if you play anybody other than the top six teams you are, in fact, playing a nobody.
In conclusion we can see 1) I was not trying to claim that Indiana is on an equal footing with Notre Dame or Ohio State, 2) such a claim is not necessary for my argument and 3) much sense was in fact made.

Based upon the course I'm taking from the Paul Finebaum School of Logic, Penn State and IU are the best two loss teams in the Country because They both lost to OSU and Notre Dame, the two teams in the Championship Game. In the final analysis, They should be rated in a tie for third in the final poll rankings based upon those "good losses.

They were our ONLY two losses and neither were blowouts. Certainly fights the narrative that we didn’t belong.

Notre Dame game was what, 14-3 with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd? Maybe 17-3.

I would agree with your post if it daddyhoosiers intent was for his post to be a brag. However, I didnt take it that way.

I think it's more of a situation where media tried to back a truck over IU simply because of our 2 losses we had, while giving favor to teams who ended up with 4 losses. So there was a rooting interest to have irony slap those pundits around when the season ends with those 2 teams IU lost to, face off for the national title. It's not a brag but more of a, "Hey Kirk, do you see now? Good. Now F off!"

On the road in both too. Held serve at home and that is a huge step to becoming a dominant program.
