Israel under attack from Hamas

The puzzling thing is how Lebanon as a sovereign country permitted a foreign run militia to establish itself in the first place all those years ago.

Damn what a night. Watching a documentary. So these mostly young 20 something’s get to this trance rave at 4 am. Then they all load up on drugs. Ecstasy lsd and shit. The intent is to time everything for sunrise. That when the music starts and the drugs kick in at sunrise everyone goes wild dancing in this state of pure joy etc. when all that is cooking they look up, again all fckd up, and think the promotion is shooting off fireworks. It was missiles. Unreal.

Incidentally they thought it odd to hold a festival so close to Gaza.

To be clear, when Israel pulled out of Lebanon the last time, their allies had to flee with them into Israel, because both Christian and Muslim factions in Lebanon considered them traitors. I wouldn't be surprised if non-Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon secretly hope Hezbollah gets destroyed, but let's not go overboard. Nobody in Lebanon thinks Israel is a savior coming in to save them from the extremists.

I'll see you that Bee headline and raise you these three 😉🤣:

@Aloha Hoosier

They're attacking your boys. No response from Joe or Kamala. I wonder how you'd feel if Trump was still POTUS. I remember you being pretty pissed over the fake Russian bounties.

I mentioned something like this a few days ago, but there are a lot of leaders in Lebanon, both Christian and Sunni, who would love to see Hezbollah disappear. However, they absolutely do not want to see whatever "void" is left behind filled by Israel. Many of them blame Israel for Hezbollah's very existence, and they trace a lot of Lebanon's problems directly back to the Palestinians who flooded over the border from Israel back in the 70's/80's, which of course, they also blame Israel for.

From ISW … May the Suez Canal become more useful soon

The United States and United Kingdom struck Houthi targets in at least five locations in Yemen on October 4. Unspecified US officials told the Associated Press that US and UK aircraft and ships conducted strikes on seven targets at Hodeida International Airport and the Katheib area, four strikes in Seiyana, Sanaa, and two strikes in Dhamar Province.[65] These strikes follow the Houthis firing 23 ballistic and cruise missiles at three US destroyers near the Bab al Mandeb Strait on September 27.[66]
