They gave up everything and consistently got nothing in return. The Iranians never stopped doing anything as part of the JCPOA. Additionally, the deals with them pushed several long time alliances of convenience to start looking elsewhere. It was a bad deal and we shouldn't be talking to them. The only rapprochement with them will occur when the Islamic part of their "Republic" is no more.

I’m starting to think this massive ground invasion isn’t going to happen, and maybe it shouldn’t. I’m sure there will be some incursions in select areas but Gaza is a regular death trap and Israel likely loses 100’s or 1000’s of IDF with a full scale invasion.

Israel should use the opportunity to seriously degrade Hezbollah. That’s an opponent more willing to meet in open conflict that isn’t tucked in as tight with civilians and a larger long term threat.

This ain’t the a professional Israeli military we’re talking about. It’s a bunch of reservist and conscripts. People acting like they can just roll through Gaza, eliminate Hamas and rescue all the hostages are being cray.
