Iran causing even more damage tonight. Obviously, their capabilities are still far behind Israel's, but I wonder if their continued ability to land missiles and rack up Israeli casualties changes the math at all.

Analysis:
Iran still hasn't taken the bait and attacked United States Forces (at least there have been no Reported attacks)... Which tells me that the new Iranian military leadership is quite a bit more circumspect when it comes to their own martyrdom than the last group... They have clearly surmised (correctly) that if we enter the fray they'll lose all their deepest, reinforced bunkers and most likely their heads along with them And their most valuable nuclear infrastructure...
Israel continues to openly bait them by speaking glowing of the help they're receiving from us on all fronts in the open press but aside from some hollow tough talk the Iranians still haven't responded...
Should be interesting to see what happens next... I'm guessing the next concurrent front opened will be the propaganda war from press surrogates and/or willing idiots who'll automatically vilify Israel because they can't help themselves... Expect to see inflated Iranian casualty counts any time now...

I don't know... I wouldn't be surprised to see this last until Israel believes they've set them back a full ten years in both nuclear weapons development and ballistic missile development and production capability...

Wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if we decided to (unannounced) employ some B-2s to crack open those bunkers IF we could be assured of the targets being valid... Problem is I don't know that we could hide our movements from satellite surveillance... We owe Iran plenty of pain... Copper Penetrators in Iraq come to mind...

I've said for years that we owe Iran some serious punishment for them being directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of many Americans.
There’s that and I believe the goal of Israel and the U.S. in the short term is to affect regime change in Iran. The Iranian people have been repressed for 50 or so years. All you have to do is look at pictures of the people going about a normal life before the mullahs.
Rumors are that Iran may try to stop shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. We should tell them that we’ll sink their entire Navy if they try that. We could.
As you know..., their mining the Strait and much of the Gulf is the real threat that they pose...
The mines can be dealt with but they'd be a dangerous pain in the butt for commercial shipping..., and the poor guys attempting to clear them...
That said, we should have destroyed their Naval assets long ago..., for a variety of reasons... This time around it just might happen...

I'm surprised that a better immediate launch detection (as in Find, Fix, and Kill) hasn't been developed by now... This is the same problem that's presented itself since the 1st Gulf War when it comes to detecting mobile missile launchers...
I guess if anyone on the planet had the motivation to come up with a better mousetrap it would be the Israelis... Must still be a really tough nut to crack... Seems like attempting to detect the launch precursors (electronic signatures, chemical gasses, etc..) would be the way to go...
