With the transfers, Romeo declaring, and Hunter health unknown, is this current roster a 20 plus win team??

Is the current roster the one that will be playing next season? Possibly but unlikely. The 1 or 2 additions that are probably going to happen could change the outlook for next season significantly if they're good ones.

Heh, this kind of stuff kills me.

Who knows. We don't even know who we're going to play next season. We don't know who is going to be on our team. We don't know who will still be on the other teams. We don't know so many things, there is no reasonable way to predict anything. Bailey even knows that 14-17 wins and an NIT...

Maybe lets get the team assembled, practicing, and watch them play for a few minutes before we start accepting our NIT bid.

Need to see what players we get to fill these spots and if Hunter can be back healthy before we can start guessing.

And our schedule and who goes pro/leaves from the rest of the B1G, etc etc.

The current roster as it's constructed for the 2019-20 season still has an alarming lack of perimeter shooting, which was the most glaring issue of this past season's team. As such, I see another middling record and a second consecutive trip to the NIT.

No ..
But two good additions..Like two guys who average 10 - 12 a game.
We squeak into the tournament next year..
Let's not forget...We played like dog crap for 13 games..
And still we were a good game from the tournament.
It's a absolute that any new Hoosiers. Are guys who bring it all season long though.

Without three point shooters they will not make the NCAA. You simply have to knock down threes the way the game is played these days.

Too soon to tell . . . will IU get a couple of transfers the quality of M. Bielfeldt or a couple like Fitzner??? In fairness to Fitz, in the NIT he seemed to really play as if he didn't want his season to end. IU sure could have used a lot more of that attitude throughout the regular season from all members of the team.

very true...look at the almighty Duke this year. With all the lottery picks, I was surprised to learn that they really sucked from 3 this year (sub 300 nationally in 3pt shooting %). Finally caught up with them in the tourney. Flip side- look what hot 3pt shooting did for Purdue. Kline and Carson go nuclear for a couple games and they're a second from the final 4.

Or, you can look at what our 3pt shooting did for IU this year (or didn't do). And what Bohannon's shooting did to us.

The only player we lost that isn't replaced in the fall is Morgan. His leadership and production will be missed. We have a couple of guys leaving who didn't play (Moore and Forester), and Romeo's production will mostly be offset by TJD. The 2019/20 roster is what most of us expected (with Romeo declaring and Morgan graduating) it to be when the season ended, with the exception we now may be able to add a couple (grad/release) transfers/Juco kids who want to be here to replace the guys who obviously don't. Depending on the additions to the roster between now and then, I kinda think they may end up being a better "team" this coming season. What that translates to in the W/L column remains to be seen.

Purdue made 14 threes against Virginia. Clearly kept them in the game. What did we average like 4 to 6 a game maybe?

This year we had a 25 win roster and won 18.

Next year is looking like an 18 win roster so I hope that doesn’t turn into 11.

What analytical metrics did you use to determine 25 wins this year? Please be specific with your data. Or, are you just full of shit?

Analytical metrics? This is basketball not quantum physics. Get back to studying for your algebra test young grasshopper. The adults will handle it here.

So...are you questioning whether we should accept the NIT bid next season?
If we are offered, we should accept.
