Iowa Woodbury pokes someone else in eye. Bet DD has something to say loll

Was called for a flagrant 1

This called on a video tape review. Now the league will review. I think Fran must be teaching this as it is happening way to often with mr. Woodbury.

Missed most of the game

Never thought I would say this, but Fran owes Dakich an apology.

I was outside for most of the game. By the time I came in, the announcers were gushing over what a great game Woodbury was having. Did it look intentional?

Mr Pokey

woodbury should sit 5 games minimum

Could do permanent damage to eyes. Was called out once, and continued to do it. Fran should also sit 2 games for condoning that behavior. Dakich should absolutely rail on Fran and Woodbury on Monday.

That's as big of a punk move as there is.

Yeah. He needs to miss 2-3 games. What is this? Like the 3rd time?

No excuse for this.

He should be dismissed from the team.

The next game Iowa plays, the opposing team should all come out of the tunnel wearing goggles!

Has he not caught on to the fact that these games are being filmed? LOL
Not only is he a dirty player, he is a stupid player also!

If no action is taken by the big ten then they are gutless.

I'd love to see someone poke him in the eye.

If he is allowed to play against IU, Crean should tell Fran that if he pokes one of our guys in the eye, he will calmly walk over to the Iowa bench and kick Fran in the nuts as hard as he can.

Re: Missed most of the game

Follow the link in the thread above "three examples" it is the third clip and it looks obvious to me since the hand is no where near the ball. He just reaches out and goes three stooges on the guy.

Fran won't suspend him

Fran jumped all over Dakich for saying it was intentional in the Wisconsin game. He would have to admit he was wrong. That isn't going to happen.

"He didn't do this on purpose, but he understands how it looks...

...and he understands why he needs to be more careful in the future to avoid these accidental, but still very regrettable events. Even though he didn't do this on purpose, we are sitting him for one game to stress the importance of this kind of care."

Easy.

Wow, that does look intentional

He has an eye lock on the offensive player's head extends his fingers forward into the eyes. That isn't how you would defend someone going up for a layup.

They need to break him of the eye poke. The B1G coaches need to ask the league how they intend to protect their players.

He was only testing the guys depth perception!

I hear he wants to be an ophthalmologist.

We only play them once and it's a home game for us.

I don't think he will "accidentally" poke someone in the eye at a road game.

But seriously, what's wrong with that guy?? And what's wrong with Fran??
