There are a lot of wistful posts reflecting the general sentiment: what if all of these great Indiana high school players who went to other programs would have made a difference for our team. That it was our recruiting fault.
That’s all well and good, but has anybody considered this issue from the kids’ point of view? Perhaps they are tired of being in the state of Indiana and would like to play someplace different—see the world, play in Nashville or in Charlottesville—stuff like that.
Then there is the issue of the school having the major or atmosphere they want if that’s important to them. Memento Larry Bird.
