What is going on here? First the one threatening voters by saying that their vote is public. Its not. And then a follow up says Mitch Daniels supports Braun. He does not. Are these texts really coming for the party?

It doesn't say their vote is public. It says whether they voted or not is public.

I don't know if it's true or not. I would think registrations have to be.
That’s not what it says. It says your friends, families, and neighbors will know if you stand for Trump or not.

Your primary party choice is a public record, but never who you actually voted for.

Actually it says if you stood with Trump or stayed home. Which is only half correct... But gets the point across.

'Whether or not you vote is public, and your community will see if you stood with Trump or stayed home.'

Does the community really look to see who voted? If it does, voter fraud is next to impossible. "I know John Smith, it says he voted but he was in the hospital."

There's some public record of you voting.

But if someone in my 'community' was checking in on me to see if I voted, I think a restraining order against said nutjob would be next.

That's the point, virtually no one is going to look it up, and even fewer is going to give a damn.

Those that do both are a danger to society.

Right, it says that we'll know whether you stand for Trump or not, but doesn't say your vote is public. They're just trying to imply it. Like if your entire block is pro Trump, but you don't vote... what will people assume?

It says "whether or not you vote is public" is the only claim about public record.

Clearly the text is marketing aimed at likely pro Trump people. Sure, stupid marketing, but just get out the vote marketing.

You have to submit a records request in Indiana. It's not something you can just go look up on a website. Or at least it wasn't readily available in the past.

TY for the info.

So, is public in my eyes. If it's a record required to be handed over. Seems like it has to be for fraud reasons.
Obviously, votes themselves should not be available to anyone. If recorded by computer makes me figure some day there'll be compromises. Which will be a shame. Although I suppose it's possible that some sealed jury corruption investigation may have reason to have access.

I sent that text to my local Republican Party and I’m getting pushback and excuses. Braun and Co. really are pretty sad for implying and insinuating this.

Answer….they didn’t send it and what is the intent…basically nothing. Not winning this voter over that’s for damn sure.

So it was actually from the gov. campaign? Or state party?

I assumed it just from some numbskull support group.

It is cringe.
Notice Braun never completely denies it.
