We also have the MAGA dude who was armed outside a Trump rally and was immediately released when they figured out he was a devoted and loyal Trumpster. So, I remember one actual attempt and the foiled Iranian plot which didn't get to the point of actual attempt. I'll say that's two plots and one attempt. Am I missing one?

An attempt starts at the planning phase with follow on physical efforts. It does not require a trigger pull, bomb triggered, lawsuit about whore payments... Ordinance down range is not a requirement for an attempt. I think you can research for yourself and find several lawsuits that also don't require shots fired.
