This is just plain stupid because even some very good coaches take more than 2 years to start winning. John Beilien was 32-36 after two years and coach K had a losing record after 4 years.

Beilein made the tournament in his second season. That record is skewed by his ten win first season.

Morgan was his usual self but missed several defensive plays. Obviously he gives IU a ton on both ends but in the Maryland game they needed even more.

They fixed the slow start. Now they need someone else to help defend and rebound.

I don't think IU has a prayer at MSU this year. Got to beat Nebraska though. Absolute must

Why should they get rid of the automatic bids to the smaller conferences. Those teams are what makes the tournament so special and not teams from power conferences that finishes 9th or 10th in their conference.

Maryland is legit one of the best rebounding teams in the nation

To me, it just looked like they didnt put a body and block out. Maryland was agressive on the boards and there were a few times I felt there could have been over the back but majority were due to not blocking out. Disappointing

This was basically a 50/50 expected loss with all things considered (away big ten game,injuries, matchups and lack of depth from those injuries etc,)
If there is any positive to take from this it should be we basically beat ourselves in this game. I really think we looked like the better team especially if on a neutral floor

I would be negative if we were at full strength and didn't make the tourney. But my view is the Coach is being an adult and working with what he has.

then he only won 15 games his 3rd year. Also our second year is not over and still in good shape to go to the tournament. He was also 21-14 his second year so it was not like he dominated that season.
