I'm not saying anything about JBJ's potential but...

He is as soft as a baby's behind and doesn't know how to contribute without the BB in his hands! He needs to grow a pair! Yes, I know he is only a Freshman and will make countless contributions to future IU games but he needs to wake-up and realize that teams are forcing him out of his comfort zone. And, defensive efforts like he has given lately should NEVER be tolerated!

JBJ is IU's second leading rebounder at 5.2 pg...

and is tied for the lead in defensive rebounds with 4.0 per game. He can flat score and does not seem to be positive teammate. IU is very fortunate to have him. Do you watch the games?

In HS he did not need to master head fakes, ball fakes, moving w/o the ball

Hopefully somebody working hard with him in trying to add those things to his game.

He drives to the hoop and somehow expects to just go straight up and lay it in, but at this level there are big uglies ready to swat that weak stuff away every time.

He also seems to come and go with his footwork. Sometimes he will get into a great rhythm where he is balanced for launching a shot the instant that he catches the ball. Swish. Then he goes into a funk where he is continually drifting and/or not squared up. Clank.

He's got absolutely fantastic potential though, & I'm glad he's a Hoosier!

UK sees the same thing with Booker. The young bucks go in like they have for years only to find out it's still a man's game. Blackmon is the real deal, wish he was at UK. Until all of these guys get stronger and can play through a hit they'll look like they're struggling. If you ever get tired of him, send him our way. Good luck in the Big 10.

He certainly has work to do on the defensive end, but I would say that

about every player on this team. Yogi has continued to do well I think, and I think Holt and Hartman have done pretty well, but these last two games, only Yogi and Holt get a pass in my book. They were battling! Everybody else had their thumbs up their posterior.
