Words mean nothing when deeds say the opposite. He started his time at IU focusing solely on the O and he's been scrambling ever since to put a competitive d on the filed. Nearly 5 years later, he's still not close. If he can't do it in 5 years, what makes you believe he can if given more time? He's content to play high scoring games and rely on his offense and get by with a minimum amount of defense. It hasn't worked.
Sorry but this does not make sense to me. "Deeds" show attention to the defensive side of the field. Since 2011, we have recruited 7 four-star athletes (per rivals). Of the seven, five have been defensive players. Some have not worked out for various reasons (Kenny and Allen) but you cannot predict that and we are starting three four-stars on defense (Latham, Fant and Shaw) and no four-star on offense. His deeds in recruiting seem to focus on defense as well as offense.
