The not-socialist political piece of the electorate has moved significantly away from the reach-around party of McConnell, Cornyn, Chaney, et. al., towards the libertarian alternative right.

And the Christian Nationalists are just beginning to assert their potential. Popular Culture is pulling hard in that direction.
