I think he could draw up decent plays but his players could not execute them. Probably because they didn’t practice them? I’m sure Houston had practiced that play, Samson didn’t just make it up on the spot.
Yes… Sampson said they literally had practiced that play multiple times previously. He called like “Play 51” or something like that. It’s a reference to the number of illegal phone calls he made during a single month while under investigation.
Not sure we watched the same game. Auburn turned it on at the end and made the place they needed to. Michigan wilted at the end.
