I sold a ton of stock on Mondays close.

I can't believe this shit is going to turn out well. I spent 28 years of my life training and teaching how to defeat the Sovit Union. I know they invaded; they can't be trusted. Berating a leader of Ukraine, destroying the Atlantic alliance is not my America. I lost my best friend to this political movement, and I am out. Trumps majority got a c- in high school history, which is really a F, and they haven't read a book in forty years.
You are an admirable man and I thank you for your service. I hope by best friend you don't mean your brother.

These threads always have huge chunks of speculation and assumption in them.

I'll play.

I know Reagan could have expressed the same ideas to/about Zelensky without handing the left a photo op.

Trump does not "lack" nuanced diplomacy - he abhors it. His message to Zelensky is that Ukraine will do what USA and Russia and China has decided they will do, or the war will go on and Ukraine will die slowly. It's about commerce - not geopolitics. Trump doesn't give a damn what some trans-teaching Euro state feels about NATO. And he think the US wins any tariff war, so he uses it.

Blunt "big ***** small."

NSFW or little ears:

Exactly! Putin f**ks Ego Man.

The devotion to President Trump is something to behold. He's got something they just love.
I don't understand that kind of devotion to anyone. But there are people on both sides that will defend "their" person to the end no matter what. There are people that worship a certain sport figure... have never figured that out either.

Bailey, since you are a trading wiz, give me the ticket symbol of the stock that made you 700 percent coming out of COVID.
Not an answer to your question but I read an interesting tidbit yesterday. It said if you had put $1000 in bitcoin at the end of 2010 it would be worth 400 million now. I'm going from memory but I believe that is very close to what it said.

What sports figure?
My MIL though Reggie Miller could do no wrong. I really like RMK but people would defend him when there was no defense.... just off the top of my head. I don't watch sports now days so I have no idea who the heroes are today.

So, you don’t know who the s***** stars are?

Don’t worry, nobody does.

....there are a whole lot of Trump voters who are having a hard time reconciling what they thought they were getting and what has happened so far. Of course, they're not shouting their misgivings from the rooftops.
Some are. The Muslims in Michigan after learning of Trump's plan to own Gaza ans relocate Palestinians, vets whose care through the VA has been curbed, researchers supported by NIH and NSF (yes, many scientists are NOT liberals), people who love visiting national parks and worry about reduced services or closures, maybe others.

I had a very VERY meager 5 digit PIRF that I dumped, when I was told that the world was TOTALLY, ending after 9/11. I feel for you after what that fear mongering has cost me now.
I hear that you are an elder statesmen. I am surprised that hospice allows you to waste your time with this stuff. Go do some bucket list stuff. Maybe try some Kopi Luake coveffe . I hear it's the best of all time.

I'm not even talking about certain voting blocs or constituencies, I'm talking about everyday individuals, even white middle aged men. We've got a couple (at least) right here.

It’s probably going to be a good move, selling your stocks. But not for any reasons you seem to believe. You lucked out on this one. Probably won’t serve you well in the long run, with investments. Good luck brother.
I didn't sell every position. CVX. IP and Dow.

You wouldn't know a Republican from a Dixie Crat.

It's like a big company.... about all could easily eliminate 10% of their work force and not hurt them a bit IF they eliminated the right 10% but it never happens that way so they just cut 10% without looking to see who's essentially useless.

Arab and Muslim voters helped deliver Michigan to Trump. They're not all happy so far

"Our community is conservative. They care about raising their kids the way they want, not letting others implement some values that conflict with our values," Ghalib explained. "We hear good stuff from his side about this - protecting the next generation and the family values."

Since taking office, though, several of Trump's statements about the Middle East have raised concerns among Arab and Muslim Americans; like his repeated suggestion that the U.S. should take over Gaza and oversee its redevelopment as a seaside resort. That idea has been roundly rejected by Arab leaders.
