I got my law degree at ND so this week has been awful. But this game last night was exactly what I experienced in 2012 and sadly what I was warning the board about when we got the ND draw.
In 2012 ND went 12-0 against a weak schedule and everyone loved the story until it ran into a brick wall called Alabama. It was clear in minutes ND wasn’t yet built for that contest as they got punked all night. That’s all that happened to IU last night. I’m not upset because losing to bigger, faster, and stronger teams just happens.
Now the test is what happens next. IU is already stepping up as an institution and doing the right things. This season is a platform. In a few years we can be back as a program that saw the vision, retooled, and came back stronger.
Don’t let last night sour your view of the season and the program. Save that rage for our fraudulent basketball program and Coach. Keep believing in Cig man. This is going to be a fun era.
