How to kill all momentum 101

That was possibly the lowest IQ team we could’ve had on the floor unless maybe rice was out and Tucker was in. But the good news was that it only lasted about two or three possessions.

I agree with OP.

The glass half full hope is that by putting the beginning of the season starting 5 lineup out there for a few minutes in a blowout and seeing the struggle one last time is that it puts the nail in the coffin for that lineup and it won't occur in any of the upcoming must win games.

God I hope so, but I have my doubts.

The problem with that lineup is that neither Ballo or Renau are effective Jump Shooters from beyond 8 feet. The only thing They do well together is the high low pass from the free throw line to the low post, and They usually get a couple of turnovers a game doing that. Unless They get position underneath early in the Offense, They both need to set high screens and roll to the basket to get open. They clog the floor, force the three other Players to play differently and it stops or slows down the Offense We play with only one of Them on the floor.

Main problem is defensively. Can’t get to shooters or recover on the perimeter. It’s been obvious since he first arrived in Bloomington that’s not how he should have ran his program.

Put Ballo, Malik, and Mack in the game together at the same time.

He’s so stubborn he just has to do it, every game.

The thing is, is it just the line-up? IMO no. I cant think of a single player whose been 100% mentally -- maybe a couple of guys have had their stellar performances here and there, but few have pushed for 40 minutes for more than one or two games.

The Washington game is a prime example. It should have been an easy 20+ win. We got up by 20 once, but for the most part we wobbled between +8 and 14 the entire game. I hope the ol' keep your foot on the pedal is being hammered into their brains.

I will offer kudos! for one the better passing games of the year. They moved the ball around even outside of their common set plays.
