Although I'm going to have the write my annual "I'm not sure he can do it with this group" post soon, and still have a really bad taste in my craw from that pre-ND outside the stadium GameDay Playoff interview nonsense...,(I would have much preferred he focus on the game and be in the Locker Room with the Team)... I have to really like the guy and his accomplishments last Fall...

Anyone else we've had here since Pont would have found a way to lose at least one of those Big Ten Home games... To only lose to the two teams who played for the Championship isn't anything to be ashamed of... Hopefully we can build on last seasons accomplishments going forward...

Cignetti is the spokesman for our team, the emerging powerhouse of college football. He's the face and brains of the IU football program. I have no problem with him being front and center on national TV hobnobbing with elite sportscasters. He's a good interview, glib of tongue, and they'll keep having him back. It's happening in Bloomington, a new feeling of pride in IU football, so let's keep it going the way our leader sees fit and just enjoy his ride.

Coach Cig has fine tuned his process and has a method of selecting players that will perform. They know what to do, what they need to see, and what to do if they aren't where they need to be. They don't stop working and accept failure.

My son played youth football for a coach that won every year. They had a draft before the season and he always picked the right kids and then had a process to make those kids perform. The coach had his two sons as assistants. They had played for their dad and each coach knew what they were going to teach and how each practice was going to be run. They ran a few plays but ran them perfectly. The kids had confidence because they knew what was successful and what they needed to do to make it work. Coach Cig does this on a bigger scale, but the methods are similar. Have a good plan and execute it better than evryone else
