WTF is up with these harassing athletes commercials during the tournament? Is this really a widespread problem? Is this in person or just on Twitter/social media? How much money has the NCAA spent on these ads???

And which of you have done this?!

Ballo did a post game interview where he said he had gotten death threats and people said, and I'm paraphrasing here, fans shouldn't do that, every fan base has the nut cases and players shouldn't be on social media.

It's a problem because there's real no way to stop it.

And people were questioning whether Ballo was telling the truth or not also.

My understanding is that it’s the hardcore gamblers doing the harassing. They have a gambling problem and lose a huge bet because some kid missed a FT, hence harassment ensues. There was piece this morning on CBS Sunday Morning about out of control sports gambling and they covered this.

There is a downside to legalizing gambling. Part of it though isn't just the gambling. It sure seems Black athletes get the threats more often.

But for the larger gambling share, if one is betting more than they can afford to lose it is a problem. I don't know how to stop that. These people making the threats aren't losing $10. They are simply betting too much on their favorite sports team or cryptocurrency.

More black athletes. More in vital positions. Better athletes
