Greg Gard

Isn't he just another coach who is good enough to make the NCAA Tournament almost every year, and then lose prior to the 2nd weekend? Is it due to his system, players, or both?
Maybe. What’s your point? 😂 Seriously though, does he have the advantages in Madison he would in Bloomington?

That's what they said about Knight starting around 1998 even though he had teams in the top 25 and in the tourney.

I think Gard would turn it down though. He has a good gig and is a great fit at Wisconsin. Why start over and get booed the rest of your trips to the state?

He’d turn down a $6.5M annual bump to keep from being booed once a year? Damn. That’s some serious booing. 😂

Look at us, jealous of Wisconsin's basketball coach. My how the mighty have fallen.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I was going to say "Yes, he's a dick, but if he's coaching IU he'd be our dick"....but that would just be wrong.

His results are impressive, He's speeded up their O and adapted to the transfer portal. His lower rated transfers are kicking our ass. I'd make the call, but he I think he has too much sense to accept.

I've been wondering why no one has mentioned him as an option. I have thought for a long time he would be great at IU. Every year Wisconsin is a top 20 team, wins two or three games in the tourney. I'd take that every day. Wisconsin is what IU USED to be.

So he should leave the better program and come to IU because of what we used to be?

He's been there 10 years. He's probably got the old school mentality of not moving to another in-conference school. Though with the number of schools in the conference now that's less realistic. Still, he seems pretty content there. And he's from Wisconsin. He's home.

Supposedly, he’s made tweaks to the offense this year and they’re now averaging 80+ ppg. This team isn’t your father’s Wisconsin - they were able to drop 94 on Purdue in Mackey and 95 on Illinois last night!
