Greatest celebrity endorsement of the 21st Century

I don't think anyone thinks Elon is trying to act like he's one of them. But he's the most innovative individual on the planet, and for people who value his opinion, it can make a difference.

It's quite different from a wealthy Hollywood star whose only accomplishments are reading lines in a movie.
I'm not sure that is relevant to DBM's post. Nor am I interested in the shallow comparison of celebrities who endorse. Elon, I admit, is more than just a celebrity.

If he keeps this up @mcmurtry66, we might find a spot for Mark on the Dream Team.

It's absolutely amazing to me that in a populist environment where ordinary people are struggling to pay rent and buy groceries that the Dems believe endorsements from celebrities worth hundreds of millions of $s and who likely havent had a real job in their lives actually helps them.
Come on man.. catch up! We learned in this thread that Harrison had at least two jobs before acting, carpentry and pot dealing. Seriously, he was married with two young sons and in order to support them, because his acting wasn't paying the bills, he taught himself woodworking and became a carpenter. Harrison ain't no lazy, deadbeat dad, and husband.

I'd venture most of them have had more of a job than Trump and come frrom much more humble beginnings. Like Kamala for example, who grew up in a home her family rented and rather than attend a private school, was bused to a public school outside of her own school district. Are you so stupid that you believe celebrities were all just born in Hollywood and don't have families in the towns/areas they grew up in?

You have no problem cheering wealthy people like Musk who grew up priviledged in Apartheid RSA and has known wealth his entire life. But a small town actor/actress who grew up moved to Hollywood and worked at jobs like pumping gas and waiting tables prior to finding successs are somehow out of touch?

Am I misremembering but wasn't Dick Van Dyke supposed to be a MAGA supporter? At least I remember people making that claim...

So when I saw DVD "trending" on twitter I expected to find some sort of full throated endorsement of Trump...

Instead I found this-a true Patriot...

lol Another Dem supporter who loves his oatmeal, sleeps all day, and is in bed by 7pm.

And a good, humble argument to boot. Doesn't take shots at Trump supporters, just lays out who he is voting for and why:

He just changed my vote. Write in will now be for "Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr."
Joe Rogan endorsed Trump. The number 1 and most listened to podcaster. Rogan is taking a huge risk.

Harrison Ford? . His endorsement is worth about what he risked.

Nobody is voting for anyone, it seems, but rather against the other one.
Wife and I drove around Carmel last night doing a smell test on signs. Shockingly few signs at all and those yards with signs were for state/local races.

Seems like everybody in Carmel is embarrassed about their vote for one reason or another. Which is a really shitty situation to be in.

As a man,
Harrison Ford > Rogan.
X1,000
Rogan's not a shit heel. He's a decent human (from what I've heard and read) if somewhat provocative on purpose. But, it pays well.

And they're both like 5'7". So, if we're going by height....

Fewest signage for Prez that I can remember.

Very few texts either. Everything is for local and a few state positions. My phone was blowing up yesterday morning for school board candidates.

Ford has nothing at risk. He doesn't say that he does. He's not claiming expertise or that he's better than anyone. He's just telling you who he's voting for and why.

Ironically, regarding your criteria to delineate between the two celebrities, one of his reasons Ford gave is that the Republicans and people who served in Trump's admin are telling us not to vote for them and they've risked a lot to do so.

And Bette Midler has two bottles in her fridge. One has a post-it note that has written on it: Kamala wins. The other has a post-it note that has written on it: Trump wins. The former is a bottle of champagne. The latter is a bottle of Drano.

Do Carmelites vote themselves or send the gardener to do it for them?
