I've always made a point of stopping in when driving back home from D.C...., or other points east...
My wife almost kick started an international incident there once when a Japanese tourist group was getting a highly sanitized version that was a little Way too attuned to their point of view in regard to the dropping of the 2nd Bomb (a mini lecture in front of "Bocks Car")... She spoke up and said firmly " Why don't you tell them Why we had to drop it"... I about choked 🤣 and ushered her to the next exhibit... They Did get the point however... 😉
I've been going there since the late 60's... (as a kid).
It gets bigger and better every time...
One of my favorite spots there is outside the museum... There's a Wing commemorative stone there that says: "The Cold War didn't just end, it was Won..."

One of my favorite museums, ever. I used to go semi-regularly growing up in Springfield. I fully admit that I might be biased, but I feel like it's better than that Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
