Gotta hand Calbert the (interim) keys

Calbert doesn’t want the keys to this dumper fire. And the only one on the staff remotely qualified to take over is Walsh. But that would mean passing over Rosemond and Hunter. IU will never do that for reasons I think you all know. We are f*****.
Which is why I suggested CC.

If Calbert took the reins and made the tournament, would we keep him? Heck I am willing to see what he can do for the rest of this season. But I’m like a dying man lost in the wilderness by now willing to try anything to find a way out.

No. The point is not for him to save the season. The point is to have someone with the title of head coach. Hell let Leal do it. Doesn’t matter.

They’re not making the tourney with Jesus at this point.

My point really is you risk really making the brand look even stupider than it already does keeping MW around. You risk Purdue taking the arena over and turning it black and gold.

I’ve been around for all these firings since the early 2000’s. This is the worst the fanbase has been in the apathy dept.

Was Jesus a point guard?

Walsh certainly isn't qualified to be head coach.

Letting Leal do it was a joke. But yes, if you’ve decided to replace Woodson and to fire him now, the interim coach doesn’t really matter.

I don’t think they’ll do that. I think they’ll keep Woodson until the end of the season unless he decides to step down sooner.

If Purdue boat races them by 30 Friday I’m just not sure how you let him back in Assembly Hall.

He’ll never quit. You almost have to let him go to stop the embarrassment of an IU legend.

Yes, firing a coach midseason will do wonders in recruiting the next full-time coach. Yes and bring in Calber Cheney because this has worked so well in the past hiring former players as head coaches. I am so excited!

This is the worst coaching staff in the country and I wouldn’t hand the keys off to any of them. Let them coach the remainder of the season hearing boos from the student section and looking up at empty seats. It’s unacceptable on so many levels at this stage. It would be great to force Quinn Buckner to sit in the student section the remainder of the season.

This has run its course. He’ll be calling in sick next home game.

I was thinking the same thing a few games back but I've changed my mind in that I don't want to see another great former players reputation besmirched...

May as well let this play out to its natural conclusion and hope we can bring someone like the Vandy coach in after their last game...

I agree it is the worst I have ever seen. Much worse than the Archie years. I remember when Doc Rivers son played. I knew we were likely to lose but I still watched. Today I not only did I not watch, I had forgotten we had a game. I just went to a sports site to check other teams and saw our loss.

Too late his rep is already besmirched (not a word I use oftern :D ) and if Mike needs to know why his rep is trashed, all he has to do is look in the mirror.
