I was pushed from tier 2 to tier 3 which is ok with me.
That tells me that ticket sales are going pretty well.It will be interesting to see how many season tickets will be sold when it’s all said and done.

I also emailed the ticket office and they told me if I want a parking pass to call the ticket office
Just passing that along in case others are still looking for a pass.

I got mine today. My previous section was completely full. Long story short, I had parents that were diehard IU supporters who gave to the Varsity Club for over 60 years and purchased both football and basketball tickets for the duration. Never missed a year. When my mom passed last year, the ticket office transferred 10 years of points to my account (we always ordered season blocks through their account). I ended up losing about 50 years of their priority points. Bottom line: priority points are tied to individuals, not families. Therefore, there is no “inheritance” when it comes to families for IU tickets and cannot be passed down.
Still got pretty good seats at midfield on the East side but up higher by 27 rows. Which is okay for me because, quite frankly, sitting lower it was tough to see the action at the North endzone due to the lower sightlines.
Everybody is jumping on the bandwagon. I have a feeling that many of these prime, lower level seats are now being snatched up by the big money donors who didn’t actually attend games. They may have bought the tickets for the basketball points but were out in the parking lot tailgating. Now, they are “all in.” Lol.

That stinks about priority points not really transferring. I use my 91 year old mother's varsity points. We have been talking about getting my name on her legacy points. Paid my $500 for my 2 tier 1 tickets just today. Not happy about it but after being an IU football fan for over 50 years. I'd rather have this problem than people having total lethargy about the football program. You'll like sitting higher at the games. I moved back 2 rows to sit in row 56 right on the aisle. Great to see coverages and how the offensive plays unfold. Hope we make it back to the CFP and I think the Illinois game will be the biggest game of the early season. Go Hoosiers!

The Illinois-Duke game at Duke will give some insight into how good Illinois is. Many projections have Duke as a 9 win team this year. That game is right before IU.

The same thing can be said about many teams this year but if some of these QBs get hurt, teams are going to struggle. IU would be no exception. Illinois the same. You get your veteran QB hurt and things get dicey.

Got my seats today. Fell back about 6 rows. It's frustrating to pay more for worse seats. I'm guessing folks either bought more, or basketball people with high point levels jumped in line, or the basketball scalpers bought more.

Also related, the east side club seats, many of which were still available, pushed lots of people back.

I thought about going for the east side club, but they haven't done a great job explaining what it is or why it's better.

Weirdly, there was no personal seat donation attached to the ESC tickets, so they weren't that much more. Probably shoulda just done that.

My understanding of the East Side Club is you get seats in rows 1-20 stretching about 35 yard line to 35 yard line, mesh backed seets and the access to a lounge underneath the stadium with t.v’s and servers BUT you have to buy the food and drinks separately. And, servers who take your orders.

I’m not hip on going into a lounge in the basement on the East side with no live view of the field and watching the game on t.v. You can do that at home.

I think the East Side Club seat donation is $1,000 per seat, on top of the price of the ticket. So a block of 4 seats in the ESC would run you around $5,900 for the season.

Speaking of t.v.’s……upgrade those damn t.v.’s out on the concourse on the concrete columns behind the concession stands. They could drive over to Walmart and get fully functional 4K flat screen 65” and it would be better than the the ones confiscated from IU dorms in the 1990s.

Compared to two years ago, IUFB's roster costs $20M more per year and the coaching staff is probably another $12M+ more per year. That's a lot of new expenses.

Revenue comes from the fans in one way or another... and one of those revenue sources is ticket sales. I get some IUFB fans' loyalty is not rewarded as much as it should be and their tickets won't be as good, that is a bit unfortunate. But, in the end there aren't many bad seats in Memorial Stadium and this is all the price of being a good (hopefully very good) team.

The price of the ESC was 1k per seat, but the ticket was included, and there was no other fee. I took 2 all the way to check out but then deleted them.

I shoulda just pulled the trigger. If they had just said access to the lounge was free but you had to pay for food, I would have done it, but the wording was vague.

Just selected. I was able to get my same seats as last year so I'm happy with what I got. I would have liked to have tried to improve if I could but the best I was going to be able to do in the area we like was down 2-3 rows which would have increased us to Tier 1 so kept my tier 2 seats. Being only on our 3rd year as season ticket holders I was worried that people would move back and snag our seats ahead of us but at the same time if they did, I was willing to spend a bit more to improve if it was a good enough of an improvement. Just can't justify the extra spend for 2 or 3 rows closer to the field. I'm just glad we didn't get pushed up higher in our section.

I don't see the attraction there. If you want, you can get access to the SEZ club which has food (mid food) and drinks but a live view through the windows if you want to get out of the cold/rain.

Our seats stayed the same, just cost more.

One can buy access to the Tobias Nutrition Center (SEZ Club you reference) for $600/seat and it includes food, non-alcoholic beverages and a cash bar. Cost per seat last year was $500.

It's just a lot closer. I think I'm in row 50, v. Row 15
